A suspensão ainda mais macia também pode ser vista como um compromisso aceitável, mas para uma Ducati é bastante surpreendente que pelo menos o garfo dianteiro não tenha sido ajustado um pouco mais firme. Infelizmente, o carismático motor bate forte em baixas rotações e, portanto, só revela o seu maravilhoso carácter V2 na estrada rural. No entanto, tudo isto reflecte muito bem a imagem geral da Monster: uma Ducati típica que também é boa para a condução diária em termos de suspensão e travões.
