A Panigale 1299 S é um claro passo em frente em relação à antiga Panigale. O controlo de tração, a eletrónica do motor para controlar o travão motor e, claro, a suspensão eletrónica da Öhlins são realmente muito bons. Mas mesmo a nova Panigale não é uma mota com a qual os pilotos menos ágeis consigam encontrar bons tempos praticamente sozinhos, como no banco de uma BMW, por exemplo. A Ducati tem o seu próprio carácter, que nem todos gostam, mas que encanta os Ducatisti até certo ponto.
