Ducati Streetfighter V4 S 2022 vs. Ducati Panigale V4 2020

The Ducati Streetfighter V4 S 2022 is a naked bike that boasts being the most powerful of its kind. It offers a comfortable riding position and features superb electronically adjustable Öhlins suspension. The bike is equipped with powerful Brembo Stylema brakes and a comprehensive electronic package. Its distinctive and attractive appearance is also worth mentioning.

On the other hand, the Ducati Panigale V4 2020 also has its strengths. It features intelligent electronics and offers a notable upgrade compared to the previous model. Additionally, it is more affordable than ever before.

In terms of technical specifications, both bikes have the same V-type engine with a bore of 81 mm and a stroke of 53.5 mm. However, there is a slight difference in power output, with the Streetfighter V4 S producing 208 HP compared to the Panigale V4's 214 HP. The torque figures are also slightly different, with the Streetfighter V4 S producing 123 Nm compared to the Panigale V4's 124 Nm. Both bikes have a compression ratio of 14 and use fuel injection systems.

The suspension setup on the Streetfighter V4 S consists of a telescopic fork with 43 mm diameter from Öhlins, while the Panigale V4 features a Showa fork with the same specifications. The front brakes on both bikes are dual disc with a diameter of 330 mm and four-piston radial monobloc calipers from Brembo. Both bikes also come with advanced rider assistance systems such as ABS.

When it comes to dimensions and weights, both bikes have the same front and rear tire widths of 120 mm and 200 mm, respectively, with a 17-inch diameter for both. The Streetfighter V4 S has a slightly longer wheelbase of 1488 mm compared to the Panigale V4's 1469 mm. The seat height is also slightly higher on the Streetfighter V4 S at 845 mm compared to the Panigale V4's 830 mm. In terms of weight, the Streetfighter V4 S weighs 178 kg dry with ABS, while the Panigale V4 weighs 175 kg.

Both bikes have a fuel tank capacity of 16 liters and come equipped with LED headlights. However, the Streetfighter V4 S also features a TFT display.

In terms of weaknesses, the Streetfighter V4 S has a loud exhaust sound and its maximum power is only achieved in the higher rev range. On the other hand, the Panigale V4 has a small fuel tank from an ergonomic standpoint and may experience instability when riding in a straight line at speeds above 250 km/h on wet surfaces.
