Apenas o design com faróis de halogéneo e forquilhas convencionais é um pouco antiquado.

A Yamaha MT-09 SP é o aperfeiçoamento de uma já muito boa naked de gama média. Com melhores componentes de suspensão da Öhlins e Kayaba, uma pintura mais agradável e um preço justificadamente mais elevado, a versão SP é claramente a escolha mais desportiva dentro da gama Yamaha MT-09. A potência bruta do motor não permite que a MT-09 SP seja conduzida confortavelmente, mas isso não é necessário na "Special" - a diversão está claramente em primeiro plano!
