Zelfs na drie jaar is de Yamaha MT-07 nog steeds een van de publiekslievelingen. Niemand anders kan tippen aan zijn prijs-prestatieverhouding. De tweecilinder motor is krachtig, maar laat zich zeer soepel besturen bij lage toerentallen. Het display is met zijn goede afleesbaarheid ook een van de beste in deze klasse. Alleen het onderstel is teleurstellend. Bij een sportieve rijstijl is het simpelweg te zacht ingesteld, waardoor de MT-07 kan gaan schommelen.
