Net als de Kawasaki Versys wordt de kleine V-Strom een beetje oud. De 1000 is zo goed gemaakt en gemakkelijk te berijden dat je zou moeten overwegen om de "grote" te nemen. Qua veelzijdigheid doet de 650 echter niet onder voor de grote V-Strom, en dat voor een aanzienlijk lagere prijs. We zouden hem alleen niet meenemen naar het circuit. En natuurlijk heeft hij meer moeite met hoge belastingen dan een motor met 100+ pk.
