Met de SP-versie wordt de MT-10 cooler, begeerlijker en, dankzij de hoogwaardige vering, ook beter. De semi-actieve vering van de R1M is het beste product in de naked bike-competitie. Hoogste kwaliteit en beste functie in combinatie. De vering maakt ook indruk op het circuit. Toch is de MT-10SP geen racemachine, omdat de rijpositie daar niet actief genoeg voor is.
