La piccola V-Strom 650 non è solo visivamente vicina alla grande V-Strom 1000 con il suo pronunciato duckbill, i fari sovrapposti e l'ampia strumentazione. L'equipaggiamento non corrisponde affatto a ciò che si intende per "ingresso economico": controllo di trazione, vivace motore Euro4, maneggevolezza armoniosa e ulteriori gadget tecnologici come il Low RPM Assist o il Suzuki Easy Start System. Per la gioia dei clienti, il prezzo si mantiene entro limiti ragionevoli.
