Pregled - Suzuki GSX-S750 2017 vs Kawasaki Z650 2020

The Suzuki GSX-S750 2017 and the Kawasaki Z650 2020 are both naked bikes that offer a thrilling riding experience. While they have some similarities in terms of engine type, fuel system, suspension, and advanced rider assistance systems, there are also notable differences that set them apart.

In terms of engine power, the Suzuki GSX-S750 2017 takes the lead with 114 HP compared to the Kawasaki Z650 2020's 68.2 HP. This means that the GSX-S750 offers more raw power and acceleration, making it a more suitable choice for riders who crave speed and performance. On the other hand, the Z650's engine, although less powerful, still delivers a satisfying riding experience with its aggressive intake noise and strong torque of 65.7 Nm.

Both bikes feature liquid cooling systems, ensuring optimal engine temperature during long rides. However, the GSX-S750 has a larger engine displacement of 749cc compared to the Z650's 649cc, which may result in slightly better overall performance and torque.

In terms of suspension, both bikes have swing arm rear suspensions with monoshock absorbers and preload adjustment. However, the GSX-S750 2017 comes with an upside-down telescopic fork front suspension, providing better stability and control during aggressive riding. When it comes to the chassis, the GSX-S750 2017 features an aluminum frame with a twin tube design, providing a lightweight and rigid structure. On the other hand, the Z650 2020 has a steel frame with a tubular design, which may not offer the same level of rigidity as the GSX-S750.

Additionally, the Z650 is lighter with a kerb weight of 185kg compared to the GSX-S750's 213kg, which may result in better maneuverability and agility.

Suzuki GSX-S750 2017

More power, more performance, more sound. Suzuki also proves all the pessimists regarding the EURO4 standard wrong and delivers the GSX-S 750, a successor to the GSR 750 that has been further developed in every respect and can be a bit more serious, but doesn't have to be. To ensure that aha moments don't become oje moments, ABS and a three-stage traction control that can be switched off provide a safety cushion. With S21 tyres from Bridgestone, the GSX-S is super-sporty, allowing you to take advantage of the generous lean angle clearance. Only the acute knee angle could be a disadvantage on longer tours.

Kawasaki Z650 2020

Kawasaki Z650 2020

It's simply marvellous what Kawasaki has put together in a complete package with the new Z650. The technical components may not knock your socks off individually, but in combination they make for a pleasantly neutral motorbike that everyone will enjoy. No bitchy idiosyncrasies - simply a naked bike that works really well on winding country roads. Of course, the TFT display, which we don't find in the competition at the moment, is a plus, as is the grown-up look, which is strongly oriented towards the larger Z models. Only the pressure point of the front brake could have been more clearly defined - but you can't have everything in this price range.
