The Ducati Hypermotard 698 Mono presents itself as an accessible, playful supermoto with a powerful single-cylinder engine and comprehensive electronics. It’s particularly easy to get it to drift during trail braking, and it feels great whilst doing so. For hard track use, however, the standard gear ratio is a little too long, the front suspension setup could be a bit firmer, and the standard Pirelli Diablo Rosso 4 offers less grip than a specialised supermoto tyre. All in all, it remains a brilliant fun bike that appeals to amateur riders with its controllable nature, yet it still offers enough reserves for really fast laps.
Husqvarna 701 Supermoto 2026
The updated Husqvarna 701 supermoto is a very well-balanced production bike for tight tracks. The powerful LC4 single-cylinder engine, the well-chosen gear ratios and the high-grip ContiAttack SM 2 tyres ensure plenty of punch coming out of slow corners and a high level of confidence during trail braking. The modern TFT display and comprehensive electronics make setup straightforward, with the optional Track mode proving particularly handy. For uncompromising track use, the front suspension could be stiffer and the front ABS could be set for a later intervention. That said, the Husky delivers a blisteringly fast, versatile supermoto that makes a powerful impression even with its indicators, number plate and standard tyres.
