The Yamaha YZF-R125 in the 2019 version makes journalists' lives difficult. You search and search for a fault, but can't find one - simply frustrating! Because the 15 hp single-cylinder with variable valve timing (VVA) performs excellently and is undoubtedly one of the best power units in the 125cc class. The handling is convincing in everyday life as well as on the racetrack, even if the chassis shows its sporty side on bumps. The power is below the A1 limit of 15 hp, but in the saddle of the retro naked bike this does not bother at any time. It gives a feeling of relaxation and is just the right A1 bike if you want to slow down and simply enjoy life. But all that glitters is not gold. For example, you notice the low price in the workmanship of the controls and the brake could also be more powerful. However, the latter is a general problem of the A1 class.
