Honda dares - and hits the mark. The X-ADV is a sophisticated, practical and amazingly precise crossover motorbike. For the 2018 vintage, the off-road capability is underlined even more with the new G-mode of the dual-clutch transmission DCT. However, the X-ADV's true playground is the country road, where it performs excellently and presents an ingenious mix of sportiness and a level of comfort that is otherwise only known from large tourers and scooters. Many people don't know what to do with this "thing", but once you've ridden the X-ADV, you'll realise what it's capable of.

The V-Strom 650 XT may be getting on a bit, but it's still a good bike. Especially if you don't need a colour display and don't intend to leave the paved road.
