Our testers agreed: in our retro bike comparison, the Thruxton R was the most authentic. Its beautiful design is an exclusive replica of the original cafe racers that originated in England in the 60s. Its inner values, however, are completely in keeping with modern times and inspire with a great, high-torque engine and a sporty chassis with high-quality brakes. The retro sports cannon perfectly combines history with the present and convinces with a wonderful driving experience - whether for leisurely cruising or sporty, ambitious corner chasing.

As before, the RS top model is indeed the most desirable of the Street Triples. In addition to the usual playful handling, the super-direct Brembo brakes and the lively character of the three-cylinder engine, there is now a more bulbous mid-range, upgraded electronics as well as a Brembo M50 brake and the once again sharpened appearance. Thanks to the very sporty Pirelli Supercorsa SP V3 tyres, trackdays are indeed a serious issue, and the now standard shift assistant with blipper function greatly increases the incentive to switch to the new model. A wonderful fun machine for both country road and track!
