KTM 790 Duke 2026

The 2027 KTM 790 Duke isn’t a completely new bike, but it feels like a much-needed fresh start. The familiar twin-cylinder engine delivers 95 Horsepower – more than enough power for country roads – the new WP suspension suits its sporty character, the brakes are easy to modulate, and the ergonomics have been noticeably improved. The unpainted decals show that this bike was developed with cost-effectiveness in mind. And taller riders should check the knee angle. However, these aren’t issues that detract from the overall package.
Zontes 703-RR 2026

The Zontes 703RR is a remarkable first offering in the sports mid-range bike segment. The Chinese manufacturer has produced a bike with a distinctive design, a characterful three-cylinder engine and a comprehensive range of features, all at an extremely attractive price. Of course, the bike still has room for improvement. The handling under load changes, the setup of the quickshifter and the electronics at the limits of performance do not yet match the standard set by established manufacturers. Yet, one mustn’t forget the price. For around 8,300 euros (in Germany), you get a visually spectacular bike with a three-cylinder engine, good standard equipment and sufficient performance for sporty country road riding as well as the occasional track day.
