The Ninja 300 doesn't act stupid in any way, but does its job impeccably. If it were purely a matter of looks, it would be on its own anyway, that's how super-sporty it looks. It looks like the spitting image of its big sisters, the ZX-6R and ZX-10R, and has grown up enormously compared to its predecessor, the Ninja 250R.

Small supersport bikes, especially those under the 500 cubic metre limit, are unfortunately still ridiculed. But when it comes to fun and sporty riding, it's not necessarily the power that counts. The overall set-up has to be right, as do the individual components, which is the case with the CBR 300 R. The design looks grown-up, slim and elegant. The design looks mature, slim and sharp, the weight is a dream value in the supersport sector and the brakes are as sensitive as they are biting. If you give the CBR 300 R a good spin and let it run, many people will stop laughing.
