Pros and Cons in comparison

Yamaha Tenere 700 2024

The Tenere 700 now has competition and, due to the simultaneous price increase, is no longer the big sensation it was a few years ago. But as soon as the bike turns off-road, you are simply thrilled in the saddle. The bike is tough and masters even demanding passages very reliably. A really good adventure motorbike. However, if you pretend to be an adventurer and only ride on tarmac, you could make your life easier with a different bike.

Very short equipment list in terms of electronics

Load changes at low revs

the operating concept with the fiddly wheel was not well received during the test

Clutch modulation not on a par with the competition in practice

Suzuki V-Strom 800 2024

The Suzuki V-Strom 800 impresses in the travel test with its great balance. It is relaxed to ride in everyday life, remains comfortable on longer journeys and delivers more riding pleasure on winding roads than its sober appearance would suggest. It is precisely this versatility that makes it a strong travelling companion.

easy to handle, yet fun and powerful two-cylinder engine

high level of ride comfort

relaxed ergonomics

good-natured and predictable riding performance

balanced touring qualities

confident on varying tarmac surfaces

Suspension clearly comfort-orientated at very ambitious speeds

limited maximum lean angle
