Pros and Cons in comparison

Yamaha XSR700 2022

Can do everything but nothing well? A clear NO! The lively and agile retro bike with a sufficiently powerful engine can be a good all-rounder, which is also visually appealing and tempts you to heat up the corners. Overall, I find the bike fantastically nimble and sporty and agile, even as a woman. The engine works better than expected and the riding position is more than comfortable. In terms of maximum lean angle, however, there would have been some air at high rpms. I think that many people will continue to choose this bike because there is simply not much you can do wrong.

successful design

proven CP2 engine

comfortable seating position

an all-rounder suitable for every situation on the road

Display difficult to read

Relatively soft suspension

Rather little maximum lean angle

Harley-Davidson Nightster Special 2024

The Nighster makes getting started in the world of Harley easier than ever before. With a smooth-running engine, riding modes and electronic aids, excellent handling, a powerful suspension and brakes, as well as a low kerb weight, you really don’t have to compromise on anything here.

The engine revs up smoothly

the chassis set-up is spot on

the brakes are very powerful

the seat height is ideal for new riders

it comes with all the features

the styling is distinctive yet quintessentially Harley

The sound is rather subdued

the footrest position takes some getting used to for a cruiser

the fuel tank is rather small

there’s little grunt at low revs for a 975-cubic centimetre V2
