Ducati Scrambler Icon 2015

With the scrambler, Ducati has launched a bike that’s set to do big things in its traditional retro territory. Not only is it incredibly stylish, but it also performs brilliantly on the track.

Engine: simply perfect, brilliant throttle response, linear power delivery, no power dip, a decent punch at low revs

Suspension: sporty and firm, no soft, mushy ride

Looks: simply stunning

Thin handlebars: tapered aluminium handlebars would look better

Can do everything but nothing well? A clear NO! The lively and agile retro bike with a sufficiently powerful engine can be a good all-rounder, which is also visually appealing and tempts you to heat up the corners. Overall, I find the bike fantastically nimble and sporty and agile, even as a woman. The engine works better than expected and the riding position is more than comfortable. In terms of maximum lean angle, however, there would have been some air at high rpms. I think that many people will continue to choose this bike because there is simply not much you can do wrong.
