Husqvarna 701 Supermoto 2023

Husqvarna 701 Supermoto 2023

The Husqvarna 701 supermoto is purely a fun bike, designed neither for long rides nor for high speeds. Light, powerful, minimalist. If the automatic gearbox had also fallen victim to this minimalist approach, it wouldn’t bother me.

Powerful engine

very nimble

good brakes

suspension with plenty of give

The automatic gearbox needs firm commands

the brakes make a rumbling noise from time to time

Triumph Scrambler 1200 X 2024

Triumph Scrambler 1200 X 2024

The Triumph Scrambler 1200 X is an emotional and powerful bike that feels just as comfortable on long touring tours as it does on challenging winding roads. With its charismatic engine and stable geometry, it conveys a powerful riding experience and attracts attention with its striking design. But it also impresses in practical terms, particularly with its versatility and suitability for everyday use. However, there are weaknesses in the features and handling, which should not go unmentioned for a bike in this price range.

magnificent engine

beautiful appearance

full electronics package

large scrambler (also) for small people

pleasingly low fuel consumption and emissions

sound as bassy as ever

good everyday suitability for lengthy tours

reliable, lean angle-dependent traction control.

Limited lean angle freedom

Exhaust heat still noticeable

Suspension not adjustable except for rear suspension preload

ABS too defensive on slippery tarmac

Noticeable vibrations at high speeds

Lack of cruise control
