Honda's CB650R proves brilliantly that four-cylinder naked bikes with little displacement are also a real source of joy on the country road. The Honda NX500 is a versatile A2 adventure bike that is particularly at home on tarmac and can offer a lot from everyday riding to relaxed touring. It has no major shortcomings, while at the same time offering many strengths, albeit not spectacular ones. On long journeys, the relaxed riding position and the good suspension, which also performs well on winding roads in combination with the improved brakes, are a delight. Pragmatists can look forward to low fuel consumption and a high range, and it can even cope with light off-roads.
