Royal Enfield Himalayan 2024

Royal Enfield Himalayan 2024

The new Royal Enfield Himalayan is a great evolution of the original concept. It is still not about performance or sportiness, but about accessibility and adventure suitability. Royal Enfield has made significant improvements in the most important areas, such as the brakes and suspension, 40 Horsepower makes it more fun and practical than ever and even includes unexpected features such as the TripperDash with 3D Google Maps navigation. If you can distance yourself from the performance mania of western touring enduros, you will find the Himalayan a nimble, accessible and fun bike for adventures big and small.

Cleanly responsive engine with enough power for motorway stages and riding pleasure

Very well tuned suspension

Good brakes at last

Modern navigation thanks to TripperDash

Exceptionally successful ergonomics when standing and sitting

Fairly high payload

Good features for the price

Very long range

Unrivalled value for money

Navigation drains smartphone battery

Wind protection with standard windscreen rather limited

Ducati Scrambler Desert Sled 2021

The Desert Sled may not be made for tough off-road use, but it is well equipped for fun parties on gravel roads and in light terrain. With the additional riding mode (ABS can be switched off at the rear wheel), the large 19-inch front wheel and the fully adjustable suspension elements, it certainly meets these requirements. The seat height of 860 also suggests that off-road rides are not completely absurd. Presumably, however, it is this breathtakingly pretty look of the Desert Sled that will arouse the interest of retro fans anyway.
