Overview - Yamaha MT-09 2016 vs Yamaha MT-07 2023
The Yamaha MT-09 2016 and the Yamaha MT-07 2023 are both naked bikes from Yamaha, but they have some notable differences in terms of specifications and strengths.
Starting with the Yamaha MT-09 2016, it is equipped with a powerful three-cylinder engine that produces 115 HP of power and 87.5 Nm of torque. This engine is known for its smooth and strong performance, making it a joy to ride. The bike also features three power modes, allowing riders to adjust the performance according to their preferences. The fully adjustable chassis ensures a comfortable and controlled ride, while the quickshifter adds convenience and enhances the sporty riding experience. The MT-09 2016 also comes with traction control, providing added safety and stability. In terms of appearance, the aggressive looks of the bike make it stand out on the road.

On the other hand, the Yamaha MT-07 2023 is equipped with a two-cylinder engine that produces 73.4 HP of power and 67 Nm of torque. While it may not have the same level of power as the MT-09, the MT-07's engine is known for its charismatic and enjoyable performance. The bike offers an easy-to-read and beautiful display, enhancing the overall riding experience. The sitting position of the MT-07 is designed to fit well for different riders, ensuring comfort and control. The brakes on the MT-07 are also commendable, providing reliable stopping power.
In terms of weaknesses, the Yamaha MT-09 2016 has a saddle that may be a little too hard for long tours, potentially causing discomfort for riders. Additionally, the license plate holder on the swingarm offers less splash protection compared to a conventional one, which may be a concern for riders in wet conditions.

On the other hand, the Yamaha MT-07 2023 has a lax chassis with too little damping, which may result in a less controlled and comfortable ride. The feeling for the gearstick is somewhat intransparent, and the operation of the bike may not be as intuitive as desired. The lack of traction control on the MT-07 is also worth noting, as it may affect the bike's stability and safety. The seating position of the MT-07 is more inactive, which may not be ideal for riders seeking a more aggressive riding experience. Lastly, the seat on the MT-07 may be a little too soft for long journeys, potentially causing discomfort for riders.
In conclusion, the Yamaha MT-09 2016 and the Yamaha MT-07 2023 are both impressive naked bikes from Yamaha, each with its own strengths and weaknesses. The MT-09 2016 offers a powerful engine, adjustable chassis, and sporty seating position, while the MT-07 2023 provides a charismatic engine, comfortable seating position, and good brakes. Pros and Cons in comparison

Yamaha MT-09 2016

The Yamaha MT-09 did not need to be reinvented for the coming season - it already was extremely well done almost four years ago. Instead, the Japanese focus on fine-tuning and adding practical, contemporary gimmicks such as traction control and automatic shifting. Due to the Euro4 standard, however, the engine management has been changed once again and offers an emphatically powerful but well controllable power delivery in standard mode; the power explosion of the first generation is now no longer offered even by the sharper A mode. The biggest change, recognisable at first glance, is the, in my opinion, extremely successful design with the more aggressive front and the newly designed rear. All in all, an even snazzier naked bike that was clearly built for the fun of motorcycling.
Yamaha MT-07 2023

In model year 2023, the MT-07 is still a good and universally usable motorbike. Its problem is the tough competition. In a direct comparison, the engine now seems a bit limp and the equipment a bit uninspiring. The good riding position and uncomplicated handling are still good.
