Starting with the technical specifications, the Streetfighter V2 is equipped with a 955cc V2 engine that delivers 153 horsepower and 101.4 Nm of torque. On the other hand, the Monster features a 937cc V2 engine that produces 111 horsepower and 93 Nm of torque. Both bikes have fuel injection systems, liquid cooling, and two cylinders.

In terms of suspension, both bikes have upside-down telescopic forks at the front. However, the Streetfighter V2 is equipped with Showa suspension, while the Monster features Marzocchi suspension. At the rear, the Streetfighter V2 has a single swing arm with a monoshock that offers compression, preload, and rebound adjustment. The Monster, on the other hand, has a swing arm with a monoshock that only offers preload adjustment. Both bikes have aluminum frames.

When it comes to braking systems, both bikes have double disc brakes at the front with a diameter of 320mm and four-piston calipers. The brakes are equipped with radial, monoblock technology from Brembo. This ensures powerful and responsive braking performance for both models.

Moving on to strengths, the Streetfighter V2 stands out for its high-revving V2 engine, comprehensive electronics package, finely responsive chassis, powerful brakes, precise handling, and sporty and refined appearance. It also offers a sporty and accessible seating position.

On the other hand, the Monster's strengths lie in its typical Ducati powerplant with charisma, comfortable seating position, good and responsive braking system, agile handling, high-quality components, comprehensive electronics package, and lean angle-dependent traction control. It also offers cornering ABS.

However, both bikes have some weaknesses. The Streetfighter V2 lacks a fuel gauge, and the engine can jerk at low revs. Additionally, heat build-up under the driver's seat can be an issue. The Monster also experiences engine jerking at low revs, and some riders may find the front fork to be tuned too softly. Furthermore, the lack of a trellis frame means that it no longer has the unmistakable Monster aesthetic.

In conclusion, the Ducati Streetfighter V2 2023 and the Ducati Monster 2023 are both impressive naked bikes with their own unique strengths and weaknesses. The Streetfighter V2 offers a more powerful engine and a sportier appearance, while the Monster provides a comfortable riding position and agile handling. Ducati Streetfighter V2 2023

Ducati Streetfighter V2 2023

With the Streetfighter V2, Ducati has modified the Panigale V2 super sports bike and made it suitable for everyday use. Despite its visual similarity to the Streetfighter V4, it has a character of its own and also has airs and graces that make life with it a little difficult, but interesting on the other hand. The jerky engine running at low revs obviously doesn't bother Ducatisti, however, and instead they are pleased with 153 hp that hangs well on the throttle, finely responsive chassis components, high-quality brakes and complete electronic equipment - only the fuel gauge was forgotten. Similar to its riding qualities, however, the Streetfighter V2 is also priced upwards in the direction of hyper-naked bikes.

high revving V2 engine

comprehensive electronics package

finely responsive chassis as standard

powerful brakes

precise handling

sporty and refined appearance

sporty and accessible seating position

No fuel gauge

Engine jerks at low revs

Heat build-up under the driver's seat

Ducati Monster 2023

Ducati Monster 2023

You can always argue about the looks and the lack of a trellis frame, but the current Monster is anything but ugly. Basically, it would be a great everyday naked bike with pleasant ergonomics and a braking system that does not surprise even the inexperienced. The rather soft chassis can also be considered an acceptable compromise, but for a Ducati it is rather surprising that at least the front fork was not tuned a little tighter. Unfortunately, the charismatic engine bucks strongly at low revs and thus only shows its wonderful V2 character on the country road. All in all, however, this reflects the overall image of the Monster very well: a typical Ducati that is also good for everyday riding in terms of chassis and brakes.

Typical Ducati powerplant with charisma

comfortable seating position

good, responsive braking system

agile handling

high-quality components

comprehensive electronics package

cornering ABS

lean angle-dependent traction control.

Engine jerks strongly at low revs

front fork tuned too softly

no longer unmistakably a Monster due to the lack of a trellis frame.
