Pros and Cons in comparison

BMW F 900 XR 2021

A motorbike in this performance class probably cannot be more accessible. The XR wobbles playfully through the radii and immediately inspires confidence in the saddle. Even long tours are easy and you are always relaxed when getting out of the saddle. However, the sporty look of the BMW also awakens desires for a little thrill. However, the power unit cannot quite fulfil these desires. The engine, transmission and quickshifter are a little too tame overall and could do with a little more sportiness.

The BMW R 1250 GS presents itself as a very complete motorbike even in 2022. Confident and well-balanced, it convinces on intensive rides. The motorbike scores points with its wonderful engine, great ergonomics and practical riding aids including great app integration. However, in direct comparison with other touring enduros in the top league, it is now showing its first weaknesses in terms of equipment and the components installed. However, the 136 hp from the boxer engine is convincing in every situation.
