The fact that the Yamaha MT-07 is the main parts donor for the Tracer 700 becomes apparent at the latest when you first open the throttle: the powerful parallel twin-cylinder engine exudes agility and a tremendous amount of riding fun. The new CBR500R ranks directly below the popular CBR600RR super sports bike in the model segment of the Honda CBR family, at least in terms of displacement, and thus has high expectations to meet. However, it solves this task with flying colours and carries the model designation worthily into the entry-level segment. Especially with its captivating looks, defined by the use of LED technology, there is no need to hide with this motorbike. The improved engine is now even more fun to ride, as the sound has also improved considerably thanks to the new rear silencer. When racing, you should choose the right track due to the limited top speed, but it still remains very stable in every situation.
