Model change done right! Yamaha has taken the cake with the new MT-125. The magnificent single-cylinder coupled with the sporty chassis brings unbelievable riding fun that knows no age limits. Whether young or old - with such driving qualities, the competition has to dress warmly! Due to its sporty design, everyday comfort may have to suffer, but as soon as the roads get twisty, the MT-125 is forgiven for its harshness. A motorbike you can own with a lot of pride!

The Yamaha YZF-R125 in the 2019 version makes journalists' lives difficult. You search and search for a fault, but can't find one - simply frustrating! Because the 15 hp single-cylinder with variable valve timing (VVA) performs excellently and is undoubtedly one of the best power units in the 125cc class. The handling is convincing in everyday life as well as on the racetrack, even if the chassis shows its sporty side on bumps. But we are on a super sports bike, so that is not a serious point of criticism. Maybe I need to ride the R125 for a few weeks to find its Achilles heel after all....
