Pros and Cons in comparison

Pros and Cons in comparison

BMW S 1000 R 2018

BMW S 1000 R 2018

The BMW S 1000 R impresses across the board and is much more than just a naked version of the S 1000 RR. With its own character, more torque in the mid-range and first-class electronics, it sets new standards in the high-performance Naked segment. The overall package of brutal performance, excellent suspension and practical everyday use makes it one of the best naked bikes ever - and at a surprisingly fair price.

Brutal performance with 160 Horsepower

Outstanding DDC suspension

Amazing stability at high speeds for a naked bike

Perfect electronics with sensitive DTC

Good price/performance ratio

Character despite perfection

Driving mode display font too small

Too extreme appearance for BMW traditionalists

Without equipment packages, important electronic features are missing

The price advantage is lost with full features

Suzuki GSX-S1000 2022

Suzuki GSX-S1000 2022

The new GSX-S1000 is an old acquaintance in terms of basic design - the engine and chassis are still from the predecessor. However, the machine has been modernised in many areas and presents itself at an extremely high level, especially visually. Although the engine cannot compete in the league of the super-potent Hyper Nakeds, it functions very harmoniously and powerfully enough. The conventional chassis also strikes a successful compromise between sportiness and comfort. The hammer arguments are definitely the successful design, the standard quickshifter with blipper and, last but not least, the comparatively low price.

superior engine

excellent shift assistant including blipper

balanced handling

bold design

comfortable seating position

very good price

Electronics package not very comprehensive

no 6-axis IMU, no cornering ABS

instruments on the handlebars somewhat antiquated

display not particularly easy to read
