Between a V4 offensive, a touring boom and an electronics arms race
EICMA 2026: Dates, show and the key trends
The 83rd EICMA takes place from 3 to 8 November 2026 at the Fiera Milano Rho exhibition centre. 3 and 4 November are dedicated to press and trade visitors; from 5 to 8 November the show opens to all visitors. 1000PS is reporting directly from Milan with a large team. If you want to know what was already confirmed before the show and which surprises were only revealed here, check out our EICMA preview 2026.
Three directions stand out among the premieres: Adventure and crossover remain a favourite field for new model families. Racing technology is migrating even further into production sports bikes. And electronic clutches, automatic transmissions and radar assistance are turning from exotic extras into genuine buying arguments. On top of that comes the growing technical independence of Chinese manufacturers. We also collect all new models and continuously updated individual reports under New bikes 2027.
Aprilia new models 2027: Carbon, V4 and the scooter offensive
At Aprilia, much revolves around the RSV4 Obscure Spe.Ed.. Limited to 500 units, the special edition brings 220 hp, carbon wheels and a MotoGP-derived aero package. Aprilia quotes a wet weight of 201 kilograms, and with the optional racing exhaust the figure is said to drop even lower. Technically fascinating, but as a purchase deliberately not aimed at the masses.
The RS 660 Phillip Island Tribute pays homage to the Australian race track with special features. RSV4, Tuono V4, RS 660 and Tuono 660 receive new Factory graphics. Scooter riders, meanwhile, will be more interested in the revised SR GT 125 and SR GT 200 with more storage space and a new TFT, as well as the SXR 125. Aprilia thus caters to both the race track crowd and the daily commute through the city.
Benda new models 2027: Vinster 700 and Vinster X 700 are Poky's surprise
For me, the Benda Vinster 700 is one of the most interesting EICMA premieres. Finally a Chinese manufacturer that doesn't just copy familiar concepts as cheaply as possible but wants to develop its own design language. The new roadster family uses a 691.66 cc V2 with 73.4 hp and 68 Nm. Single-sided swingarm, exposed mechanicals and idiosyncratic lines make the Vinster instantly recognisable.
And the Vinster 700 and Vinster X 700 are not mere paint variants. The standard Vinster rolls on a 17-inch front wheel and offers an 830 millimetre seat height. The X reinterprets the same platform with a 19-inch front wheel, 865 millimetre seat height, hand guards, a higher front fender and touring features. An interesting answer to the question of how many bike types you can develop from a shared base.
With the Capra 700, Benda also enters the adventure segment. The same V2 meets a 21-inch front wheel, 18 inches at the rear, 220 millimetres of rear suspension travel and 220 kilograms kerb weight. For cruiser fans there's the Dark Flag 600 Ultra EC with a 598.5 cc V4, electronically actuated clutch and lowerable air suspension. The utility vehicle division is also growing with the Bluestone 500 R2 and Supernovae 1000 DL. All of this shows one thing above all: Benda no longer wants to be just a cruiser brand.
Beta new models 2027: RE 330 aims to win new adventure customers
With the Beta RE 330, the Italian off-road specialist takes a step towards touring and everyday bikes. The liquid-cooled single is designed for the A2 licence class, with market launch planned for spring 2027. Beta deliberately emphasises simplicity, functionality and the ability to switch from the commute to gravel. What's remarkable is less the displacement figure than the decision to build a new adventure family at all.
BMW new models 2027: M 1000 RS with 218 hp and two small 450s
The BMW M 1000 RS is one of my personal favourites of the show. Here, RS doesn't stand for a classic sport tourer but for a hyper naked bike limited to 1,000 units. The inline four from the M 1000 RR makes 218 hp, and the DIN kerb weight (= 90% full tank!) is 196 kilograms. Titanium exhaust, carbon wheels, winglets and plenty of racing tech are part of the package. In Germany, BMW quotes 40,000 euros and availability from March 2027. A sensible purchase? Certainly not. But it's great that manufacturers sometimes still build machines like this.
The contrast comes from the already unveiled BMW F 450 R and BMW F 450 RR. Both max out the A2 limit with 48 hp. The naked has a wet weight of 175 kilograms, the small RR 177 kilograms. BMW thus shows its full range: accessible middleweights on one side, a high-priced M statement on the other.
CFMOTO new models 2027: V4SR-RR challenges the superbike elite
The CFMOTO V4SR-RR is a genuine milestone for the Chinese motorcycle industry. Behind the design sits a purpose-developed 997 cc V4 with more than 210 hp and up to 15,000 rpm. CFMOTO quotes a dry weight of around 180 kilograms, a counter-rotating crankshaft, titanium conrods and Öhlins suspension. Particularly interesting are the actively controlled winglets, whose positions can be adjusted independently of each other. According to the manufacturer, immediately before braking at 160 km/h they generate 20 percent more front-wheel downforce than fixed wings. Whether the system brings a real advantage in practice remains for testing to show.
No less important for the European market is the pairing of the CFMOTO 550MT and 550MT-X. Both use a new 527 cc parallel twin with 54 hp and 52 Nm. The 550MT focuses on touring and everyday use with 19/17-inch wheels, electronic clutch, cruise control and a large display. The 550MT-X runs 21/18-inch wheels, longer suspension travel and a clearer off-road focus, and Gregor instantly fell for it. With the 125SC-S there's also a 125 sports scooter with ABS, traction control, TFT and a large storage compartment. The brand's presence is thus far broader than one spectacular superbike study.
Ducati new models 2027: Panigale V4 SP and V2 SP with motorsport DNA
The Ducati Panigale V4 SP is one of my highlights of EICMA 2026. Its 1,103 cc Desmosedici Stradale V4 delivers 218 hp. Carbon wheels, dry clutch, a race-style gear pattern with neutral below first and the aero package with corner sidepods make it clear what Ducati is after: lap times. Compared with the Panigale V4, the new aero is claimed to generate 25 percent more vertical downforce at 270 km/h. Visually a seriously mighty statement!
The Panigale V2 SP also shows the influence of racing. The 120 hp V2 with Öhlins suspension, longer swingarm, forged wheels and dry clutch was developed with the Supersport World Championship in mind. Alongside it stands the Streetfighter V4 SP with 214 hp as a particularly exclusive naked variant.
But Ducati covers much more ground in 2027: the DesertX Rally is sharpened with more sophisticated off-road suspension and rally components. The Diavel V4 gets an update and a new V4 S. Hypermotard 698 Mono RVE and Hypermotard V2 RVE round off the range with special graphics and equipment details. The already unveiled Monster Dark 2027 with 111 hp takes a much more everyday-friendly direction and serves as the entry into the Ducati world.
Fantic new models 2027: Imola 500, Imola 125 and Caballero Supermoto
Fantic sends the Imola 500 and Imola 125 to Milan in their final form. The sporty road models are due to be available in May 2027. Among other things, the Imola 500 gets Fantic's new in-house Fantic Racing Suspension (FRS) technology. With the Caballero 500 Supermoto, Fantic also expands its successful retro platform with another variant. The corporate direction is interesting: the Italians are investing in their own suspension development instead of just slapping new decals on existing bikes.
Honda new models 2027: New Africa Twin, Fireblade and radar assistance
For me, the Honda CRF1150L Africa Twin is probably the most important new model of the 2027 model year. The twin, enlarged to 1,131 cc, delivers 119 hp and 119 Nm. Honda has revised the frame, swingarm, ergonomics, tank layout, displays and the entire spec. The electronically controlled Showa EERA suspension is now standard on the regular Africa Twin, while DCT remains an option.
Particularly exciting is how the range branches out. The Africa Twin Enduro Sports targets off-road riders more clearly with 21/18-inch wheels, longer suspension travel and, according to Honda, nine kilograms less weight than the standard version. The Africa Twin Adventure Sports sticks with a 19-inch front wheel as before and strong touring qualities. The new Adventure Sports Honda SENSING RIDE uses front and rear radar: adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go function, group riding assistant, collision warning, brake assist and blind spot monitoring. The system is DCT-only. I'm especially curious about the group riding assistant. Can it cope with 1000PS editorial team rides? We'll see.
Honda is going all in on superbikes too. The CBR1000RR-R Fireblade 2027 was developed first with the World Superbike Championship in mind and only then for the road. Peak output remains at 217.6 hp; new are the frame, swingarm, intake and aerodynamics, among other things. The Fireblade SP brings electronic Öhlins suspension and Brembo brakes, the HRC Works Edition additional race track adjustment options.
Husqvarna new models 2027: New Factory Editions for the motocross track
At Husqvarna, the focus for 2027 is on the FC 250 and FC 450 Factory Editions. The limited mx bikes get far more than new decal kits. The FC 250 in particular is fundamentally reworked with a completely new DOHC engine, higher compression and a raised rev limit. Both models receive a new WP XACT closed-cartridge fork, a revised frame with new chassis geometry and extensive racing equipment.
What's exciting is the view beyond the special editions: with the Factory Editions, Husqvarna shows which technical direction the next generation of its mx bikes is taking. Instead of a cosmetic facelift, there's real development work on engine and chassis here. How much of it is noticeable on the track, our tests will show.
Kawasaki new models 2027: Versys 900 as a new road crossover
The Kawasaki Versys 900 2027 has a guaranteed spot on my personal 2027 hit list. The 948 cc inline four from the Z900 family produces 122 hp and 97.3 Nm. Add a dedicated touring chassis, 17-inch wheels, a 20-litre tank and radar assistance. For Austria, Kawasaki quotes 14,349 euros, while the better-equipped Versys 900 SE is listed at 15,249 euros. Market launch is planned for April 2027.
Important: the adaptive ACC Lite system regulates speed via the throttle but does not brake on its own. Further Kawasaki new models include the return of the Ninja H2, an update of the Ninja 650 and new two-strokes in the off-road segment. All model updates can be found in the Kawasaki new models overview 2027.
KTM new models 2027: 1390 Super Duke GT and GT EVO with AMT, new mx bikes and a 450 RC
The KTM 1390 Super Duke GT is my Austrian EICMA highlight. The big LC8 V2 brings 190 hp and 145 Nm to a sport touring bike that deliberately wants to stay closer to a sports bike than a living room on wheels. KTM combines this with an extensively revised chassis, WP semi-active suspension, new cockpit and 19.5-litre tank. Whether the setup really pulls off the promised balancing act between long distance and sport is a job for our first test.
Also celebrating its premiere is the KTM 1390 Super Duke GT EVO. Its Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) allows automatic and manual gear changes. A 190 hp bike that also brings touring qualities naturally sits right at the top of the 1000PS long term test bike wish list. The 390 Adventure R with optional cruise control, the 390 Adventure X with TFT and the 1390 Super Duke R also receive updates. Our KTM new models overview for EICMA 2026 puts the whole range into context.
There's plenty happening at KTM beyond the big Super Duke GT. The 250 SX-F and 450 SX-F Factory Editions 2027 bring a newly developed frame, altered ergonomics and revised suspension technology. The 250 gets a new engine, while the 450's spec sheet shows 63.8 hp. Particularly interesting: the Factory Editions are meant to offer a foretaste of the regular 2028 SX model generation.
The KTM 450 RC also provides a surprise. The new twin-cylinder supersports with single-sided swingarm, adjustable WP APEX suspension and electronic rider aids extends the sport range downwards. Patience is required, though: production start is only planned for late 2027, so the new RC is already being announced as a 2028 model. KTM thus seems keen to strengthen its presence not only in the powerful premium class but also in the sporty middleweight segment.
Moto Guzzi new models 2027: The Trip 500 for new customers
The Moto Guzzi The Trip 500 is an unusual premiere for the heritage brand. Instead of the familiar longitudinally mounted V2, the new A2 roadster relies on a parallel twin with just under 48 hp. Quoted figures are 180 kilograms wet weight, a seat height from 790 millimetres, three riding modes and a TFT. Moto Guzzi is thus targeting an audience that may not have been interested in the classic V7 concept so far. An exciting step, even if purists will probably have to swallow hard at first when it comes to the engine.
Moto Morini new models 2027: Camel and Coguaro revive old names
Moto Morini focuses on touring and adventure models. With the Camel, a historic name returns: a 670 cc parallel twin, 82 hp and a 21-inch front wheel are meant to position the bike as a serious middleweight adventure bike. The Coguaro also revives a traditional model name and pairs it with a 21-inch concept.
Norton new models 2027: New 450s and the bigger comeback
Norton is expanding its model family with a new 450 single-cylinder range, announced in two versions. Norton will only reveal specific model names and key data later. Alongside are the production versions of the Manx R, Manx, Atlas and Atlas GT. The legacy of the British name is huge, and we're curious to see how the new bikes are received by European dealers.
Piaggio new models 2027: Typhoon returns, Beverly and Medley modernised
EICMA also has plenty for scooter riders. The Piaggio Typhoon returns in a new form, picking up on its well-known, rugged city scooter character. The Beverly range is revised visually and in terms of features; it stays in the line-up with 310 and 400 cc. The Medley also gets a new look and a more modern cockpit. The three-wheeled MP3 celebrates its 20th birthday.
Royal Enfield new models 2027: The 750 offensive begins
Royal Enfield uses EICMA 2026 for an important step into a higher displacement class. The Himalayan 750 gets an air/oil-cooled parallel twin with 743 cc and 63 Nm of torque. Add adjustable Showa suspension, cornering ABS, lean-sensitive traction control, five riding modes and cruise control. With a 19-inch front wheel and a choice of cast or spoked wheels, the big Himalayan is more geared towards versatile touring than its smaller siblings. In Italy, announced prices start at just 7,390 euros.
The new Royal Enfield Continental GT 750 uses the same base engine in a more powerful version. The café racer is offered both unfaired and with a sportier front fairing and lower handlebars. Royal Enfield thus sticks to its classic look while consistently expanding the technical possibilities. The fact that the big Himalayan of all bikes comes with an IMU and cruise control shows how seriously the Indians now take electronics. And all of that without giving up their comparatively price-conscious positioning.
Suzuki new models 2027: GSX-10R and SV-7S
Suzuki is taking a different path from the manufacturers with ever more extreme superbikes. The GSX-10R combines a 999 cc inline four based on the familiar GSX-S1000 technology with a full fairing, sporty ergonomics and extensive electronics. Suzuki explicitly emphasises its usability across country roads, everyday riding and the race track. An unexpected new model after last year's GSX-R 1000 R.
The new SV-7S essentially continues the legendary SV650. The 645 cc 90-degree V2 gains modern systems such as ride-by-wire, riding modes, traction control, quickshifter and a TFT display. This is exactly where Suzuki could score: a proven basic recipe, topped up with the tech that's expected even in the lower middleweight class today.
Triumph new models 2027: Classics and big adventure bikes
Triumph expands its Modern Classic range with, among others, the Bonneville T40 for the A2 class. The Tiger 1200 receives technical and equipment upgrades. With the limited Speed Twin 1200 TFC, the Brits also cater to discerning customers who value exclusive components and classic design. Street Triple and Tiger 900 are also revised for 2027. More in our big new models overview 2027.
TVS new models 2027: India's next offensive for Europe
With TVS, another major Indian manufacturer is increasingly pushing into the European market. At EICMA there are four new models: the RTR 125 LC and the three electric scooters M1-S, Orbiter and TVS X. The TVS new models 2027 in detail show how broadly the brand intends to position itself. The sporty RTR 125 LC brings 14.9 hp, a liquid-cooled four-valve engine, KYB suspension and TFT navigation to the A1 class.
Among the electric scooters, the offering ranges from the everyday Orbiter with two battery sizes to the TVS X with an aluminium frame, 110 km/h top speed and a huge 10.2-inch touchscreen. The M1-S rounds off the range as an electric maxi scooter. Many range and performance figures are, however, still subject to homologation. More interesting than any single model is the strategy behind it: TVS apparently doesn't want to appear as a cheap niche player but to gain a foothold in Europe with a broad, technically quite sophisticated line-up.
Yamaha new models 2027: RW700 crosses the line between scooter and bike, plus a preview of a small Ténéré
The Yamaha RW700 is definitely one of the boldest concepts of this EICMA. The idea: an adventure scooter shouldn't just look like an enduro but genuinely combine bike and scooter qualities – haven't we heard that somewhere before? In any case, the RW700 and the comfort-oriented RW700 Explore use Yamaha's CP2 twin and the automated Y-AMT transmission. Add longer suspension travel, knobbly tyres, folding footpegs, lean-angle assistance and various road and gravel modes.
With the RW350, Yamaha extends the family downwards. A new 330 cc single works here with a CVT and an elaborately engineered drivetrain layout. Above all, it will be exciting to see how the 700 stacks up against a conventional big scooter and a true adventure bike. A test ride should answer more questions than any brochure. Yamaha also stays active with model updates and retro colours for the XSR900 and other established ranges.
Besides the unusual RW adventure scooters, Yamaha shows other important new models. With the NMAX E 2027 and the XENTER E 2027, the scooter range gains two new electric vehicles in the A1 class. Both use a centrally mounted 7.5 kW motor, a 3.5 kWh battery and a belt drive. Yamaha quotes 104 and 108 kilometres of range respectively according to WMTC. Charging is via an integrated charger from a household socket or at public Type 2 charging stations.
Perhaps even more exciting for bikers is the Yamaha Ténéré 4 Concept. The study shows a light adventure bike with a newly developed single, a dedicated frame and a clear off-road focus. Yamaha is thus responding to demand for smaller and lighter adventure bikes. It's still a development project, not a finished production bike. Nevertheless, this small Ténéré could become at least as significant for the future of the model family as many a big prestige product.
Zero Motorcycles new models 2027: Light e-bikes instead of range records
Zero presents Project Ventura, a light A1 prototype with 17-inch wheels. Key data so far: a targeted top speed of around 130 km/h and an estimated 150 kilometres of range; production availability is planned for summer 2027. Add the LS3 as an A1 scooter, a revised XE model and further (overdue) steps in connectivity and CCS fast charging. All the info here: Zero Motorcycles new models 2027.
Zontes new models 2027: 150 hp from three cylinders
Zontes also shows that Chinese manufacturers are increasingly pushing into higher performance classes. The new ZT853-R is a sporty naked bike with a newly developed triple. According to the manufacturer, the engine squeezes 150 hp and 90 Nm of torque from 847 cc. Single-sided swingarm, aluminium frame, carbon parts and components from Brembo, KYB and Michelin underline the ambition to no longer be perceived solely through a low price.
With this spec, Zontes is reaching for a segment that has so far been firmly in the hands of established European and Japanese manufacturers. Patience is needed until market launch, though: as things stand, the ZT853-R is only planned for 2028. Whether the overall package will then also convince dynamically remains to be seen. Technically, the statement is unmistakable in any case.
ZXMoto new models 2027: From supersports to boxer
ZXMoto is one of those Chinese manufacturers you shouldn't overlook at EICMA 2026. The new model line-up for 2027 ranges from the three-cylinder supersports 820RR and the 820R naked bike to the new 820X adventure bike with announced electronic suspension and adaptive cruise control. Add the revised retro four-cylinder 500F, the road-legal 450RALLY and further off-road projects.
Particularly noteworthy, however, is the preview of a new 1,100 cc boxer engine, set to serve as the basis for future adventure, touring and cruiser models. ZXMoto is thus simultaneously investing in new engine platforms, a broad model range and motorsport. For Europe, the brand also announces an expansion of spare parts supply, including a logistics site in Poland. This is exactly where it will become clear which Chinese manufacturers can succeed long term: performance figures and attractive prices are one thing, dealer network, spare parts and long-term support another.
More EICMA new models 2027 and the bigger picture
There's movement beyond these big blocks too: SWM announces the Venturo T300 crossover scooter and the Stormbreaker V1200 V2 bagger. Many smaller updates from the off-road segment, new colour options and special editions round off the model ranges. The whole of 2027 is bigger than EICMA alone anyway: our continuously updated 1000PS new models overview also gathers premieres away from the Milan show.
Poky's EICMA highlights 2026: Nine bikes, nine different reasons
For me, the biggest takeaway from EICMA 2026 is that the motorcycle industry is simultaneously trying to offer desirable top-tier products, more accessible models and technically more convenient everyday machines. Chinese manufacturers are increasingly no longer competing on price alone. For us testers, that's an excellent starting point for the coming season.
