Moto Morini X-Cape 1200: Anniversary for 2027
The anniversary edition commemorates the brand's history from 1937 to 2027. For the first time, the X-Cape 1200 gets a white-and-red two-tone paint scheme. Anniversary graphics on the sides and gold spoked wheels set the Anniversary apart.

The 2027 X-Cape 1200 Anniversary comes in white and red with gold spoked wheels and a three-piece luggage set.
The announced features include a three-piece luggage set, a larger windscreen, crash bars and a dedicated aluminium bash plate. The market launch is planned for the course of 2027. Moto Morini intends to announce a specific date and the price at a later stage.
Moto Morini X-Cape 1200: V2 with 1,187 cc
At its heart is the liquid-cooled four-stroke Corsa Corta EVO V2 with an 87-degree V angle and 1,187 cc displacement. Bore and stroke measure 107 and 66 mm respectively, and the compression ratio is 12.3:1. Fuel injection comes from Magneti Marelli, and the engine meets Euro 5+.

The Corsa Corta EVO V2 sits in the frame above the bash plate.
Moto Morini quotes 129 hp at 8,750 rpm and 106 Nm at 7,000 rpm. The press release is contradictory regarding the kW figure: the main text states 95 kW, the technical data sheet 92 kW, each alongside 129 hp. A definitive kW value therefore cannot be taken from it. The manufacturer describes strong torque delivery at low revs and a progressive power curve. Three riding modes are designed to adapt the engine response to different situations. A bidirectional quickshifter and an anti-hopping clutch round off the drivetrain.
Moto Morini X-Cape 1200: Chassis and Brakes
The frame combines aluminium and steel, while the swingarm is made of aluminium. Kayaba supplies a fully adjustable 48 mm upside-down fork and a monoshock mounted via progressive linkage with remotely adjustable spring preload. Front and rear each offer 180 mm of suspension travel.

The close-up shows the spoked front wheel and the front brake system with Brembo caliper.
The tangentially spoked wheels measure 19 inches at the front and 17 inches at the rear. They are fitted with Pirelli Scorpion Trail 3 tyres in sizes 120/70-R19 and 170/60-R17. Moto Morini intends the bike for both roads and various unpaved routes. How well this layout works in practice cannot be judged from a model presentation. Up front, two 320 mm brake discs with Brembo monobloc calipers handle the stopping. At the rear, a 280 mm disc works with a fixed caliper. The Bosch cornering ABS can be deactivated at the rear wheel in off-road mode. The traction control offers three levels and can also be switched off. A tyre pressure monitoring system is included in the features.
Moto Morini X-Cape 1200: Comfort and Rider Aids
The 7-inch TFT display features an integrated navigation system. Moto Morini also lists heated seats, heated grips, hand guards, cruise control, an adjustable windscreen and a centre stand as standard. USB and USB-C ports as well as a forward-facing camera complete the features.

The view of the rider's seat shows the TFT display, the handlebar controls and the windscreen.
Cornering lights are designed to illuminate the inside of bends. The radar-based Blind Spot Monitoring watches the area behind the bike and is intended to warn of other vehicles in hard-to-see zones when overtaking or changing lanes. The seat height is 840 mm. Moto Morini says it also focused on long-distance comfort when designing the pillion seat, footpegs and grab handles. The rear aluminium grab handle is connected to the luggage rack. According to the manufacturer, the X-Cape 1200 was designed and developed in Italy by its in-house design centre and R&D department. Styling highlights include a sculpted tank and sportily drawn fairing panels.
Moto Morini X-Cape 1200: Technical Specifications

Moto Morini X-Cape 1200: Price and Colours
The regular X-Cape 1200 is offered in Artic White, Energy Red and Viper Black. The press release states a price of 12,990 euros marked FC. It does not explain this price designation and does not explicitly assign the amount to the German or Austrian market. A confirmed final price for these markets therefore cannot be derived from it.

Alongside Artic White and Energy Red, Viper Black is one of the regular colour options for the X-Cape 1200.
No price has yet been announced for the 2027 model year X-Cape 1200 Anniversary. More detailed availability information is also set to follow later.
