The Daytona Strive GTX is clearly positioned as a sport boot, yet it brings along numerous features you'd usually associate with the touring segment.
When it comes to material, Daytona relies on hydrophobic, full-grain cowhide leather that is both rugged and supple. This is complemented by a GORE-TEX More-Season membrane, which according to the manufacturer is permanently waterproof and breathable. Inside, a textile lining is used that actively wicks moisture away from the foot.
Targeted elastic zones at the instep and heel ensure mobility. Combined with the soft shaft edge and the anatomically shaped insole, the result is a wearing feel that also works over longer distances.
In terms of safety, the boot's sporty ambitions are clearly evident. Ankle protectors on both sides with special foam, a padded shin guard, and a stable sole construction with a steel insert and plastic reinforcement provide a high level of protection.
At the same time, the Strive GTX carries clear race track DNA. The racing sole delivers direct feedback, while replaceable titanium sliders and a robust PU shift lever reinforcement are designed to hold up even under intensive use. The overall picture is clear: the Daytona Strive GTX is not a softly tuned touring boot, but a full-fledged sport boot with additional all-weather competence.
