The BMW F 900 GS covers an exceptionally wide range of uses—from rugged off-road trails to lengthy holiday tours. According to Touratech, this places high demands on ergonomics, especially on the seat as a central interface between rider and bike. With a new, one-piece Comfort Seat, Touratech now offers an alternative to the stock seat, catering to both sporty adventure riders and long-distance touring enthusiasts.

Multi-Layer Foam Core for the BMW F 900 GS

As with all Touratech Comfort Seats, a multi-layer core made from high-quality foams is utilized. Depending on the selected seat height, specifically tailored foam compositions are used to achieve a precisely defined balance of support and cushioning. The ergonomically shaped seating area features an integrated relief zone in the tailbone area, effectively reducing localized pressure points.

A precisely defined seat angle also supports a natural, upright riding posture and can reduce fatigue on long stretches. Especially on an adventure tourer like the BMW F 900 GS, the seat determines whether a journey is relaxed or becomes a strenuous journey—Touratech addresses this with targeted ergonomics.

Thoughtful Geometry for Off-Road and Everyday Use

Despite the thick padding, the geometry of the Comfort Seat is designed to achieve a low seat height to ground clearance, ensuring smaller riders can still reach the ground. The one-piece construction also allows for unrestricted movement—especially crucial for off-road riding, where frequent weight shifts while standing or sitting are required.

Three Seat Heights for Custom Ergonomics

The Touratech Comfort Seat for the BMW F 900 GS is available in three versions:

Low: approx. 54 cm
Standard: approx. 56 cm (matches stock)
High: approx. 58 cm

Measurements are taken vertically from the footpeg to the lowest point of the seat. The seat is delivered fully ready to install and can be mounted on the bike without any modifications. It is handcrafted in Germany. Additional color options are in development.

The patented Fresh-Touch material is used as the cover, notable for its reduced surface temperature under sunlight and remaining up to ten degrees Celsius cooler than standard seat covers, according to the manufacturer. Visually, the Comfort Seat aligns with the distinctive Trophy design of the BMW F 900 GS. The color scheme in red, white, and blue seamlessly integrates into the bike's design.
