In the realm of vehicle protection, Touratech focuses on robust and practical solutions. A standout feature is the new fairing crash bar, specifically designed for the latest model generation starting from 2025. Made from 25-millimeter stainless steel tubing and featuring a close-to-bike contour, the bar includes an integrated "Tech Plate." This versatile mounting element allows for convenient and trail-secure strapping of various soft luggage pieces—extending its utility beyond mere protection.

New Generation of Protectors for the Yamaha Ténéré 700
The program is complemented by the model-specific "Expedition" engine guard, crafted from four-millimeter-thick aluminum. Defensa handguards, along with water pump, headlight, and ABS sensor protection, round out the comprehensive protection package—from the oil pan to the handlebars.
Off-Road Parts for Demanding Adventures
For off-road use, Touratech has developed functional detail improvements. A brake lever extension and large "Works" adventure touring footpegs are specifically designed for use with enduro boots. According to the manufacturer, an off-road air filter offers high cleaning performance while maintaining a high airflow, especially in dusty conditions. Additionally, the side stand foot enlarger is intended to improve stability on soft terrain.
Touratech Luggage Solutions: From Hard to Soft
For luggage transport on the Yamaha Ténéré 700, Touratech offers a variety of systems. Model-specific pannier racks made from 18 x 2 millimeter stainless steel tubing allow for the mounting of various ZEGA aluminum case systems. The current top model, ZEGA Evo, features an off-road durable and user-friendly locking mechanism.
Alternatively, waterproof side bags from the Endurance, Travel, and Extreme Edition series with quick-release fasteners are available. Those who prefer to travel without solid racks can opt for the Discovery 2 soft luggage system, which is secured on the pillion seat using a strap system. Tank bags from the Ambato series and additional pouches in various sizes round out the offering.
Suspension Upgrade: Cartridge Kit Extreme & Extreme 2
For the fork, Touratech offers a version of the Cartridge Kit Extreme specifically tailored for the T7. This cartridge system replaces the stock internals of the fork, combining suspension and damping into a single unit. The manufacturer highlights advantages such as finely-tuned responsiveness, reserves in extreme conditions, and extensive adjustability for preload, rebound, and compression.
Complementing this is the Touratech Suspension Extreme 2 shock absorber. Beyond the three basic parameters, it allows for separate adjustments for high- and low-speed compression. A flow-optimized damper piston, low-friction seals, large oil volume in the finned reservoir, and a hydraulic end stop are designed for consistent performance and durability.
According to Touratech, the Extreme 2 shock proved its capabilities at the Africa Eco Race 2026, where Mike Wiedemann secured fourth overall with his equipped Ténéré 700.
Introduction to Suspension Tuning and Lowering
As a more affordable alternative, Touratech offers progressive replacement springs for the fork and shock absorber. These are designed to provide enhanced sensitivity over minor terrain irregularities and greater riding stability under heavy loads or sporty riding conditions. For riders struggling with the seat height of the Yamaha Ténéré 700, lowering kits are available. With a progressive design, they lower the bike by 35 millimeters without significantly compromising off-road capabilities.
The tech upgrade is rounded off with accessories such as handlebar risers, GPS mounting adapters, and grab handles. According to the manufacturer, these components are based on years of practical experience in travel and off-road use.
