CFMOTO 1000MT-X: China's New Adventure Bike Flagship

With the new CFMOTO 1000MT-X, the Chinese manufacturer showcases a motorcycle at EICMA that is positioned as the technical flagship of their adventure touring lineup. The 946cc twin-cylinder engine delivers 113 hp at 8500 rpm and a maximum torque of 105 Nm at 6250 rpm. CFMOTO employs a liquid-cooled DOHC twin with eight valves and electronic fuel injection. The powerplant is paired with a slipper clutch and a six-speed gearbox, naturally complying with the Euro V+ emissions standard.

The suspension of the 1000MT-X is clearly designed for long-distance comfort and off-road stability. Up front, a 48-millimeter KYB upside-down fork is paired with a fully adjustable KYB monoshock at the rear. Suspension travel is 230 millimeters with the high seat configuration (830 / 870 mm seat height) and 190 millimeters in the low setup.

Braking is handled by Brembo radial brakes: dual 320-millimeter discs with radially mounted four-piston calipers up front, and a 260-millimeter single disc with a two-piston caliper at the rear. The electronics package is also well-equipped: BOSCH Cornering ABS, three-stage traction control (TCS), and a fully adjustable KYB suspension complete the technical setup.

Touring riders will find the 1000MT-X particularly appealing. The 22.5-liter tank supports long stretches, while the Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tires (90/90 R21 front, 150/70 R18 rear) are designed for both road and gravel. The dry weight is 222 kilograms, which is typical for this engine class.

The cockpit stands out with a particularly modern 8-inch TFT display featuring an MMI system. All-around LED lighting, including daytime running lights and indicators, comes as standard. Optionally, the bike can be equipped with a CFMOTO T-Box, enabling smartphone integration and app connectivity via CFMOTO Ride. The 1000MT-X is available in Zephyr Blue and Tactical Green, both colors emphasizing the bike's robust adventure look.
