Heritage Brand GASGAS Withdraws from Trial World Championship

Starting in 2026, GASGAS will discontinue its factory team in the Trial sector. Concurrently, the production of Trial models will be relocated from Spain to Mattighofen.

From the 2026 season onwards, GASGAS will no longer compete with a factory team in the Trial World Championship and the Spanish Championship. This strategic realignment highlights GASGAS's commitment to optimizing industrial processes and expanding its market reach within the KTM AG Group.

The manufacturing of GASGAS Trial models will be relocated from the current site in Terrassa near Barcelona to Mattighofen. The brand's Enduro models are already rolling off the production line in Austria, and now the Trial division will also be produced there. According to KTM, the manufacturing processes of all group brands are to be standardized at the Mattighofen site to better utilize capacities and increase industrial clout.

The Spanish plant will be closed as a production site, affecting around 20 manufacturing employees, while the remaining staff in Spain will stay with the company.

As part of this realignment, GASGAS is forgoing an official factory team in Trial racing. In recognition of their outstanding dedication, GASGAS extends heartfelt gratitude to all team members as they celebrate a commendable vice world champion title with Jaime Busto in 2025. Despite withdrawing from both the World and Spanish Championships, GASGAS remains committed to the Trial sport by offering robust support through technical assistance and partnerships for private riders and independent teams.

Customers will experience no disruption: the robust dealer network ensures seamless continuity in the distribution of motorcycles, spare parts, and services. While the scope of future product offerings remains to be defined, GASGAS is committed to maintaining its presence in the Trial segment, albeit with production now centered outside of Spain.
