Six adventure bikes, one muddy enduro terrain, miserable weather and a clear mission: push the limits. At the 2025 Offroad Test Days on the Red Stag grounds, we had the Yamaha Tenere 700, Honda XL750 Transalp, Suzuki V-Strom 800DE, Aprilia Tuareg 660 Rally, Can-Am Origin and Fantic Caballero Rally 500 at our disposal. What they all had in common: they had to show what they're made of in rough terrain. And us as riders? We wore nothing but Leatt adventure gear from head to toe. Two different combos, two boot models and one pair of gloves accompanied us through mud, rain and gravel. Spoiler: the conditions were perfect for a serious test.

When the weather turns: The MultiTour 5.5 combo from Leatt

Our Offroad Test Days were marked by rather modest weather, a rainy start and surprisingly cold temperatures for early May. The Leatt ADV MultiTour 5.5 jacket and pants were spot on here, forming a robust, weatherproof unit. Ideal for temperatures between 10 and 20 degrees Celsius, this three-layer combo proves to be an all-rounder in changeable spring climates. The waterproof inner jacket with HydraDri EVO membrane offers a water column of 20,000 mm while providing 20,000 g/m² breathability - which suited us just fine during the continuous rain on the first Offroad Test Day. On top of that, Leatt also offers an inner thermal layer, making the combo suitable for truly cold conditions as well.

Thanks to the modest weather at the 2025 Offroad Test Days, the Leatt MultiTour 5.5 combo was able to prove its versatility.

As soon as we tackled the harder trails of the Red Stag, though, we all quickly warmed up, forcing the MultiTour to show its other side. Under heated use, the well-thought-out ventilation convinces: large ventilation zones on the chest with a practical, magnetically held-open flap, a large area on the back and air intake at the arms and legs ensure a pleasant airflow climate, even under physical exertion on technical sections. The Level 2 protectors sit securely and comfortably at all times and noticeably provide confidence without feeling bulky. Many practical details such as hydration system preparation, large pockets, variable width adjustment and excellent freedom of movement make the MultiTour a pleasant companion during our Offroad Test Days.

The entire area between the zippers up to the visible magnet can be flapped open. The same system can also be found on two large ventilation areas on the front, allowing plenty of airflow and pleasant cooling.

Light, airy, easygoing: The FlowTour 5.5 in summer mode

The Leatt FlowTour 5.5 combo has a higher proportion of mesh in the outer material, making it airier.

Hardcore off-roaders aren't impressed by a bit of bad weather, since they're riding so actively through the terrain that they rarely get cold anyway. That's why our pros Busty and Adam opted for the Leatt ADV FlowTour 5.5 combo. Anyone who wants more air on their body or is frequently out in high temperatures will find an airier ADV riding suit here. Fit, protectors and equipment details convince here as well. But the large mesh inserts set a clear focus: maximum ventilation. On the second and third day, the skies cleared somewhat and it got noticeably warmer. With an active riding style, you work up a proper sweat. The FlowTour combo offers airflow almost like a light jersey, so it should still be a good choice even at temperatures well above 30 degrees. It's also a bit lighter than the MultiTour, which Busty appreciated in the more ambitious terrain. At the same time, thanks to the rain jacket with HydraDri EVO technology, the combo remains usable even when the weather turns. This can even be worn over the mesh jacket for more warmth, or simply underneath it. The result is an incredibly flexible, sportily cut combo that appeals especially to active riders. Anyone wanting to tackle off-road in summer conditions while still being prepared for any weather curveballs is spot on here.

Thanks to the waterproof jacket, which can be worn on the outside or inside, the FlowTour combo is also suitable for cold, wet riding days.

Soft meets sturdy: Comparing the ADV HydraDri 7.5 and 3.5 boots

Boots are a matter of trust, especially off-road. Our hobby enduro riders opted for the ADV HydraDri 7.5 boot from Leatt during the test. This convinces with its robust yet not overly stiff construction, high comfort and absolute waterproofness. Perfect for rain, puddles and cold weather. At the same time, it offers more feedback for the shift lever and brake than hardcore off-road and motocross boots. Ideal for adventure touring riders. Pro rider Busty, on the other hand, chose the regular Leatt Boot 3.5. He demands a firmer, more stable boot for high speeds and hard maneuvers. The 3.5 isn't a clunky block, but still offers good wearing comfort for a sportily oriented boot. Anyone seeking comfort with maximum weather protection should go for the 7.5. Anyone needing sporty stability is well advised with the 3.5.

The HydraDri 7.5 boot is waterproof, robust, yet comfortable, making it ideal for adventure tours.

Grip, protection and lightness: The ADV X-Flow 7.5 Gloves in detail

You forget good gloves while riding - because they simply work. That's exactly what the ADV X-Flow 7.5 Short Gloves from Leatt do. Extremely light, wonderfully soft on the inner surface yet with convincing grip, even when wet. The NanoGrip technology in the palm provides precise lever feel. On top of that comes a very comfortable knuckle protector made of Reaflex gel, which despite its protective function doesn't press or add bulk. Overall, the glove is the perfect complement to the combos - light, airy and secure. A clear recommendation for demanding off-road rides.

The Leatt ADV X-Flow gloves are very comfortable to wear and offer good grip on the handlebar, even when the grips are already wet and muddy.

Conclusion: Leatt adventure gear in the off-road stress test

The ADV MultiTour 5.5 combo reliably keeps water out during continuous rain and temperatures of 10 to 20 degrees thanks to the HydraDri EVO membrane, and can be extended into cold conditions via the thermal layer. As soon as it heats up on the trail, large ventilation zones on the chest, back, arms and legs provide noticeable airflow, and the Level 2 protectors sit securely without feeling bulky. The airier FlowTour 5.5 with mesh inserts is the choice for high temperatures and remains weatherproof thanks to a separate rain jacket. Regarding boots, the waterproof ADV HydraDri 7.5 covers comfort and touring use, while the firmer Boot 3.5 delivers sporty stability at high speed. The ADV X-Flow 7.5 gloves are light and grippy even when wet. Recommendable all around for adventure touring riders facing changeable weather.
