Held Cosmo 4 Touring Suit Review

Sporty Leather Jacket and Matching Pants in Classic Style

A leather touring suit for (almost) all seasons that feels as comfortable on a naked bike as it does on a scrambler or sport tourer? Warm in the cold, cool in the heat, with breathable material, removable lining, airbag-ready, and available in men's, women's, tall, and short sizes? Sounds like wishful thinking, but it's a reality. True to the motto "All good things come in 3+1," Held launches the fourth generation of its proven Cosmo touring suit—this time with an even sportier design.

Tailor.Moto Tested the Held Cosmo 4 for Us

The Held Cosmo 4 is a sporty touring leather suit that impresses with its modern design, high-quality materials, and well-thought-out safety features. Made from soft cowhide, it's not only durable but also stays comfortably cool under intense sunlight thanks to the TFL-Cool System. The reflective surface prevents heat buildup—a definite advantage, particularly on extended summer rides. Ventilation zippers at the front and back, along with the 3D mesh fabric on the back, ensure good airflow. Tailor.Moto particularly appreciated the front zipper, which doubles as an air vent. The fit is sporty yet comfortable, supported by stretch inserts at the shoulders and elbows. Additionally, the adjustable waist ensures an optimal fit. In terms of safety, the suit is equipped with D3O T5 EvoProX protectors at the shoulders and elbows (Level 2). A back protector can be retrofitted, as well as a chest protector. Furthermore, the Cosmo 4 is prepared for airbag systems like the Held eVest—a clear plus for modern safety standards.

Maximum Protection? Yes Please. Style Clash? No Thanks.

Visually, the suit also stands out. Tailor.Moto finds that the Cosmo 4 perfectly matches his retro bike, a Scrambler 1200. The blend of sporty lines and classic leather accents ideally complements the character of his motorcycle.

Long-distance? No problem—when zipped together, the jacket and pants become a veritable armor for multi-day tours. For a short trip, the jacket alone, paired with protective jeans, is perfect for the city, a coffee, or a well-deserved cold drink after work. The Cosmo 4 appears neither too aggressive nor too plain—just the right balance for sporty tours with style.

What particularly excites him: The Cosmo 4 is extremely comfortable. In just a few minutes, it feels like a second skin. Nothing pinches, nothing chafes, everything fits as it should, even on longer rides. This not only provides a sense of security but also a high level of comfort and freedom of movement.

In summary, the Held Cosmo 4 is a successful combination of protection, comfort, and design—perfect for sportily ambitious touring riders with a flair for style.
