214 hp! New Ducati Streetfighter V4 2025

The heart of the Ducati Streetfighter V4 is the 1,103 cc Desmosedici Stradale V4 engine, also used in the Panigale V4. This engine is a 90° V4 with desmodromic valve control and a counter-rotating crankshaft, making it particularly powerful and characterful. With 214 hp at 13,500 rpm (+6 hp over the predecessor) and maximum torque of 120 Nm at 11,250 rpm, the engine delivers brutal power along with a revvy character that is said to be especially advantageous on the race track.

Another technical highlight of the engine is the variable-length intake trumpets, which optimize power and torque across a broad rev range. The optional Ducati Performance by Akrapovič racing exhaust system provides additional power, boosting maximum output to 226 hp.

The Ducati Streetfighter V4 retains the characteristic design of the Streetfighter series but offers a few tweaks intended to improve aerodynamics and high-speed riding performance. The double-decker winglets, fitted since the very first version, have been further developed and now offer improved downforce of +17 kg at 270 km/h. The 16-liter tank is reflected in the greater presence of the tail section, which is longer at the rear, with a shorter license plate holder and a lower pillion seat than on the 2024 model-year Streetfighter V4.

The chassis of the Streetfighter V4 is based on the Panigale V4, but with tweaks aimed at improving handling on the road. The new front frame is 3.47 kg lighter than the predecessor and features reduced lateral stiffness, which is said to boost confidence when leaned over and allow higher corner speeds. The hollow symmetrical swingarm, combined with the lightweight chassis, is intended to improve traction, which particularly benefits acceleration out of corners.

The Streetfighter V4 S is fitted with electronically controlled Öhlins NIX/TTX suspension, which offers improved feedback and a wider adjustment range. This suspension keeps the bike comfortable both on the race track and in everyday riding. Ride comfort is further enhanced by the "Cruise Detection" strategy. This system softens the suspension when a constant speed is detected, such as during highway riding.

Like the new Ducati Panigale V4, the Streetfighter V4 is also fitted with Brembo Hypure brake calipers. These calipers are lighter (60 grams per pair compared to the Stylema calipers on the predecessor) and more powerful, and dissipate the heat generated during braking more effectively.

Ducati equips the Streetfighter V4 with a wide range of electronic control systems. The most important of these include Ducati Traction Control (DTC), Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC), Ducati Quick Shift (DQS) 2.0, and Ducati Vehicle Observer. The latter is an algorithm developed by Ducati Corse that draws on over 70 sensors to optimize the bike's performance in real time and give the rider more precise control.

Another highlight is the Race eCBS braking system, developed in collaboration with Bosch. It improves braking performance by being able to activate the rear brake in certain riding situations, improving stability and handling during braking. The electronics package is rounded off by a new 6.9-inch TFT display, which shows key information depending on the riding mode (Road or Track).

The ergonomics of the Streetfighter V4 were designed to increase comfort on the road without compromising its sporty riding performance. The seating position in particular has been optimized for taller riders. The tank has been shaped to provide more freedom of movement, and a recess in the upper area makes it easier to tuck in aerodynamically. Compared to the predecessor, the handlebar bend has been moved back 10 mm, bringing it closer to the rider.

The footpegs have been repositioned further forward and inward, making the riding position more comfortable without compromising ground clearance. Vents in the side fairings direct hot air away from the rider, improving thermal comfort on longer rides.

The Ducati Streetfighter V4 is offered in two variants: the standard version and the V4 S. Both models share many features, such as the engine, chassis, and electronics. The V4 S version, however, offers additional premium components such as Öhlins suspension, forged wheels, and a lithium-ion battery, which further reduce weight. Prices in Germany are as follows:
