MV Agusta introduces the new Enduro Veloce in 2024. This model follows the limited LXP Orioli series and continues MV Agusta's dedication to the exclusive touring enduro segment. In the realm of motorcycle design, it is an art to blend the practical needs of a true adventure vehicle with an aesthetic that ignites excitement. MV Agusta has achieved this with the Enduro Veloce: crafting a stunning motorcycle that not only stirs the soul but also upholds MV Agusta's high aesthetic standards. The seamless lines, conceived by MV Agusta designers, pay homage to beauty and power.

124 hp three-cylinder in the MV Agusta Enduro Veloce

Beneath the sleek exterior of the MV Agusta Enduro Veloce beats the heart of a potent 931 cc three-cylinder engine, delivering 124 hp at 10,000 rpm and a sturdy torque of 102 Nm at 7,000 rpm. This engine, a gem for three-cylinder bike enthusiasts, was crafted in the revered workshops of MV Agusta and weighs 57 kg. The counter-rotating crankshaft is a particularly intriguing feature - a technology that may be familiar to our attentive 1000PS readers from other sporty Italian motorcycles. Its gyroscopic effect aims to counterbalance the front wheel's inertia, giving the Enduro Veloce an agility that quickens the pulse. This technology is especially beneficial on a bike proudly sporting a 21-inch front wheel.

The distinctive sound of the Enduro Veloce's three-cylinder engine is no coincidence, but the result of meticulous design using a flap system. Here is a short sound check on Twitter. A unique characteristic that excites enthusiasts with every twist of the throttle. The bike's electronics are top-notch: a 6-axis IMU, four pre-configured riding modes, a full ride-by-wire throttle, and finely adjustable traction control offer the rider a variety of tools to tackle any challenge. Additionally, features like launch control, cornering ABS with rear wheel lift-off detection, and user-friendly cruise control complete the technology package, all accessible through a sharp 7-inch HD TFT display.

4 year factory warranty! MV Agusta Enduro Veloce

MV Agusta relies on well-known partners: Sachs supplies the adjustable suspension, Brembo the precise Stylema brakes, and Bridgestone the grippy A41 tires. The two ABS modes offer riders the flexibility to adapt the intensity of the intervention to their riding style and the terrain, while the LED-backlit controls guarantee easy handling in all conditions.

MV Agusta places great emphasis on the motorcycle being 100% Italian-made. However, it is widely known that Stefan Pierer's motorcycle group now holds a majority stake in Italy. This poses a somewhat ambivalent issue for fans of the MV Agusta brand. While they appreciate the exclusivity and Italian flair of their motorcycles, they have also faced challenges due to ownership structures over the years. The current structure with KTM ensures that key aspects of the vehicle trade are functioning well. The Enduro Veloce comes with a four-year factory warranty, providing peace of mind for MV brand enthusiasts. Investments are planned for the Varese site, and the GAS GAS trial motorcycles demonstrate how independent production with a unique character can thrive within the KTM universe.

The Enduro Veloce features a Sachs fork with 48 mm adjustable in compression, rebound, and preload, with a spring travel of 210 mm. The Sachs monoshock, also fully adjustable, offers 210 mm of travel at the rear wheel. The seat height is 870 mm, adjustable down to 850 mm thanks to the adjustable seat. With a ground clearance of 230 mm, the Enduro Veloce has a registered noise level of 90 dB(A) and a maximum permissible total weight of 496 kg, allowing for an impressive payload. The fully fueled weight of the Enduro Veloce is approximately 240kg. The exact value will be determined on the 1000PS scales.

Completing the package are the standard Bridgestone Battlax A41 tires mounted on tubeless Takasago Excel wheels. For those seeking adventure off the beaten track, the electronics offer a setup specifically tailored to the needs of the Bridgestone AX41, ensuring that the Enduro Veloce can unleash its full potential on any terrain.

The technical data at a glance

It's a challenge to find a direct competitor to the MV Agusta Enduro Veloce. Its unique technical specifications set it apart from other motorcycles on the market. For instance, the Tiger 900 falls short in terms of power, and the heavyweight touring enduros like the large GS lack the 21" front wheels that the Enduro Veloce boasts.

Price MV Agusta Enduro Veloce 2024

The MV Agusta Enduro Veloce is priced at 27,990 euros in Austria and 23,990 euros in Germany, making it approximately 6,500 euros more affordable than the luxurious LXP Orioli. You can check out the current prices for the MV Agusta Enduro Veloce on the 1000PS market. MV Agusta plans to manufacture around 1,000 units of this model in Varese in the first year.

What does the 1000PS community say?

We released a video featuring the MV Agusta Enduro Veloce in early April. Comments on the YouTube video discussing the MV Agusta Enduro Veloce cover a range of topics, from technical aspects to design concerns. One common thread is the worry about KTM's involvement and impact on MV Agusta, with some expressing concerns about the potential loss of independence, especially in terms of design. However, there is optimism that the financial stability provided by KTM could breathe new life into MV Agusta.

Opinions on the visual appeal of the Enduro Veloce are divided: Some find it attractive and draw comparisons to the Africa Twin, while others feel it resembles typical adventure motorcycles without offering anything innovative.

In general, the comments convey a mix of hope and doubt. While some recognize the technical excellence and potential of the Enduro Veloce, others are concerned about pricing, the potential dilution of the brand's identity, and the strategic direction of MV Agusta under KTM's guidance. You can watch the initial video showcasing the new MV Agusta touring enduro here. A review video will be released in the upcoming days. MV Agusta Endor Veloce - Engine performance and transmission

When examining the MV Agusta Enduro Veloce, it becomes evident that this Italian powerhouse is more than just a motorcycle - it is a fiery, spirited breed that gallops with the passion and elegance only MV Agusta can deliver.

The engine delivers astonishingly quick response and exceptional revving power. The sporty power unit revs up with intensity. Even beginners can achieve 0-100 acceleration in 3.5 - 4 seconds. The engine is very direct yet not overly demanding on the throttle. On the road, it stands out as one of the finest engines available - a true gem! The gearbox and shift assistant seamlessly complement the impressive power unit. The clutch is easy to control. During aggressive braking maneuvers, including spirited gear changes in 1st and 2nd gear, the rear wheel may skid and add some excitement to the ride. While the stationary noise level is stated as 90db(A) on paper, the bike emits an extremely sporty and fiery sound. The sound is carefully crafted to be quite pleasing, without any droning or discomfort for the rider. One thing is certain: this motorcycle will delight enthusiasts of a sporty exhaust note.

And the sound? Picture Luciano Pavarotti performing a Metallica cover - powerful, passionate, and unexpectedly melodic. The MV Agusta Enduro Veloce sings its own aria, captivating the hearts of those who believe a motorcycle should be more than just transportation. It is a symphony that not only captures the essence of sportiness on paper, but truly comes alive on the road. In a world increasingly dominated by digital technology and uniform sounds, the Enduro Veloce serves as a reminder that there are still machines crafted with soul and a distinctive voice.

MV Agusta Enduro Veloce - Ride and handling

First and foremost, the MV Agusta Enduro excels more on paved roads than off-road terrain. However, it still sets a high standard on asphalt. It remains stable on fast stretches and instills confidence in the rider. The bike truly shines in corners, effortlessly navigating through them with precision. The top-notch chassis ensures the tires stay on the right path. The engine, known for its excellent responsiveness and counter-rotating crankshaft, proves to be a great companion. Adjustments to the throttle have minimal impact on the bike's trajectory, as it stays true to its course. While it may seem sturdy for off-road adventures, the engine tends to rev up a bit too eagerly. This might pose a challenge for more cautious riders when off-roading. Nonetheless, the chassis performs admirably in such conditions. The suspension offers a wide range of adjustments, allowing for a firm ride on the road or a more comfortable experience. Despite the ample suspension travel, the front end remains stable. The bike provides flexibility in terms of load and usage, making it versatile for various riding scenarios. Off-road enthusiasts can fine-tune the suspension to be as smooth as butter. The MV Agusta Enduro also offers precise handling off-road, although riders accustomed to electronic suspension may miss this feature. For those switching between off-road and gravel terrains, finding the right setup will always involve a compromise.

MV Agusta Enduro Veloce Electronic assistance systems

Sitting on the MV Agusta Enduro in "Touring" mode, you feel like everything is perfectly in place. There's no need to make any changes to the bike. While you do have various options to adjust traction control or switch to other modes, why bother? The throttle response is excellent, power can be smoothly delivered to the rear wheel, and the front-wheel control keeps the bike on track precisely. However, as we picked up speed throughout the day, braking maneuvers became more intense. With a very sporty riding style, the ABS struggles to match the sporty nature of the rest of the bike. Unfortunately, there is no option to switch the ABS to a "Sport" mode.

In off-road mode, the traction control adjusts practically for gravel riding, and the ABS can be used in off-road mode or completely deactivated with the press of a button. A particularly exciting feature is the "Launch Control," which is activated on the right-hand side of the handlebars. Instructions appear on the display: engage gear, pull the clutch, give full throttle, release the clutch, and GO! On my first try, I achieved a smooth 0-100 km/h start in 3.7 seconds. With a bit of practice, a time under 3.5 seconds is definitely achievable. This is an impressive performance for a touring enduro. Watch the video.

MV Agusta ergonomics and comfort

Our test rides during international press events may be short, but they are also very intense. We have to constantly stop, turn, and maneuver for photo shoots, yet we spend the entire day in the saddle despite covering a relatively short distance of 210 km. Throughout this experience, you truly feel the impact of the MV Agusta Enduro on your physical well-being. Despite its highly sporty nature, you always dismount feeling remarkably relaxed. This can be attributed to the incredibly precise engine, the comfortably low seating position, and the well-thought-out ergonomics. Especially during maneuvers, you feel completely at ease on the motorcycle and can effortlessly navigate through challenging situations. The seating comfort provided by the stylish seat was exceptional, allowing the upper body to remain wonderfully relaxed. However, it is worth noting that the windshield is not adjustable, and at very high speeds, taller riders, standing at 185 cm, may wish for a higher shield position. The consistently pleasant temperature level in the saddle is a major positive point. Even during prolonged stop-and-go photo sessions, there was no heat buildup in the seat. Both the rider and the engine receive just the right amount of fresh air. The MV Agusta also excels in minimizing vibrations. The large display is user-friendly and easy to read, although it may appear too flashy for more traditional riders. It can be extensively customized to suit individual preferences and can also be connected to the new MV Ride app.

MV Agusta design and workmanship

At first sight, the MV Agusta Enduro impresses with its stunning paintwork and meticulous attention to detail. This is further emphasized by its charismatic sound. Despite being mass-produced, the limited number of units allows for design possibilities not found in mass-produced bikes. Enthusiasts will appreciate the intricate paintwork and small details like the aerodynamic elements in the side mirrors and the two-tone seat. The red-painted cylinder head on the Enduro Veloce, although barely visible, adds a touch of flair. While some details may seem unnecessary, they contribute to the overall appeal for brand enthusiasts. These unique details also contribute to the higher price tag of the MV Agusta. Despite being pricier than bikes with more power and features, the Enduro Veloce is a top-notch MV Agusta. If you're in the market for an exclusive motorcycle, the Enduro Veloce is a tempting choice. It offers comfort, practicality, and embodies the true spirit of Italian craftsmanship. Backed by a solid structure and a 4-year factory warranty, the build quality instills confidence that the warranty may not even be needed. The surfaces are well-finished, components are high-quality, and the fit of parts is precise. Each Enduro Veloce is meticulously hand-built in Varese, with every bike tested on the bench and ridden a few kilometers before leaving the factory. This attention to detail is evident in the 5 kilometers on the speedometer of every new Enduro Veloce.

Details and notes - MV Augusta Enduro Veloce in practice

At the end of the day, the MV Agusta Enduro Veloce is a truly successful blend of riding enjoyment, practicality, and irrationality. You can ride a damn fast and sporty motorcycle with it, yet still have a highly practical machine for everyday routes. The consumption at the end of the day was 6.0 liters / 100 km. Some riders have also lowered the seat height. To do this, you need to loosen 3 screws on the underside of the saddle, flip the spacer elements, and then screw them back on. A USB-C and USB charging socket are located on the right side of the display. The chassis's adjustment range is exceptionally wide. Even unusual special requests can be accommodated. If desired, the suspension can also be tuned to be very firm for road use. This setup works incredibly well, but naturally comes at the expense of comfort.
