Piaggio Medley 125 2027: New TFT and More Features
Where do you put your helmet when the scooter is parked outside the ice cream shop? With the Piaggio Medley, you don't automatically need to bolt a top case to the back. According to the manufacturer, the compartment under the seat swallows two open-face helmets. Piaggio positions its big-wheel scooter right between the lightweight Liberty and the larger Beverly range. For 2027, the Medley gets a facelift that, besides the looks, mainly concerns the features.
Piaggio Medley 125 with Start & Stop and ABS
In Germany, Piaggio offers the Medley with the 125 cc i-get engine. The manufacturer quotes fuel consumption at less than 2.5 l/100 km, equivalent to more than 40 kilometres per litre. Standard equipment includes a Start & Stop function that can be switched off. It shuts the engine off when stationary and is intended to help save fuel.
Also standard are dual-channel ABS and a tip-over sensor. In the event of a crash, the latter deactivates Start & Stop and shuts the engine off. With its concept of compact dimensions and large wheels, Piaggio aims to combine easy riding in the city with safety and riding pleasure outside the city.
Piaggio Medley 2027 gets TFT and new wheels
The most visible technical update sits right in front of the rider: a new 5-inch colour TFT takes over instrument duties. It provides information for daily rides and, according to Piaggio, should be easy to read in all conditions. Visually, the update focuses on the leg shield. The headlight surround turns black, joined by the likewise black, vertical metal 'tie' in a new design. The five-spoke wheels are new as well.
Piaggio Medley offers 36.2 litres for everyday use
Under the seat, which Piaggio says is wide and comfortable for the pillion too, there are 36.2 litres of storage space. The compartment opens electrically via a button on the handlebar. The manual seat release is located in the glovebox in the leg shield, which also houses a USB port. According to the manufacturer, this means two open-face helmets don't require any extra luggage on the back.
Anyone wanting to carry more will find a new top case rack fitted as standard for 2027. It accepts the top case available as a genuine accessory without additional mounting plates. So the rack is part of the standard features, while the top case itself is an accessory.
Colours for the Piaggio Medley 125 and Medley S
The base version is available in Nero Abisso and Bianco Cristallo. Piaggio pairs these with a brown seat, a brown inner leg shield and grey wheels. The Medley S features black-painted details and wheels. Here you can choose between Bianco Cristallo, Nero Meteora, Blu Ardesia and Verde Minerale.
