NIU NQiX Series 2026 – New Performance and Smart Features

NIU expands its successful NQiX series for the 2026 model year. According to the manufacturer, these vehicles have become a staple in the European L1e and L3e markets since their debut, earning several awards and widespread customer acceptance. For the upcoming season, the series will undergo comprehensive updates to further enhance efficiency, range, and user comfort.

All NQiX models are set to feature upgraded hardware and software from 2026. Among the major innovations is the integrated Google Maps navigation, operable directly via the 5-inch TFT color display. Additionally, battery management and motor control have been optimized to enhance range and performance in everyday use.

NQiX 1000 – The New Flagship Model of the Series

With the new NQiX 1000, NIU introduces the flagship model of the lineup. According to the manufacturer, this electric scooter offers a peak power of 15,500 watts, reaches a top speed of up to 125 km/h, and is expected to provide over 100 kilometers of range. Three removable 72V/28Ah lithium-ion batteries (each weighing 12.4 kg) offer flexible charging options. Charging all batteries together can take about four hours, while individually, it takes around 1 to 1.5 hours. Fast charging capability comes as standard equipment.

The vehicle weighs in at 155 kilograms including the batteries and is rated to accommodate two riders. The seat height is 770 millimeters, and the wheelbase measures 1,350 millimeters. For ride stability and safety, it is equipped with disc brakes featuring ABS and TCS, measuring 240 mm at the front and 220 mm at the rear.

The NIU NQiX 1000 is set to be available in European markets starting in the third quarter of 2026, with a starting price of 6,499 Euros. According to NIU, the model is compatible with A1, A2, A, and B licenses, depending on the specific regulations of each country. Colors and additional variants of the NQiX series are also announced for 2026, with exact details pending.
