BRABUS 1400 R SIGNATURE EDITION – The New Chapter of Collaboration

The first glimpses reveal: BRABUS and KTM are teaming up once again. Based on the KTM 1390 Super Duke R EVO, the BRABUS 1400 R SIGNATURE EDITION is currently in development, already setting the benchmark. The distinctive BRABUS bodywork, an aggressive front end, and a new lighting signature ensure an unmistakable presence.

The visible features suggest a bike that ranks at the top of the hyper-naked segment: BREMBO HYPURE braking system, a newly developed twin-exhaust system (according to our insiders, not for the US market), and Monoblock II EVO wheels, inspired by BRABUS vehicles from the 1980s.

Inspired by Its Predecessor: BRABUS 1300 R as the Technical Foundation

The new 1400 R clearly stands in the tradition of the BRABUS 1300 R, which was crafted in a limited edition in 2022 and 2023. Back then, the team from Bottrop combined the heart of the KTM 1290 Super Duke R EVOthe 1,301 cc LC8 V-2 with 180 HP and 140 Nmwith craftsmanship and luxurious design.

The predecessor featured a second-generation semi-active WP APEX suspension, which automatically adapted to riding conditions and speed. This already demonstrated that BRABUS knows how to not just adopt existing KTM technology but leverage it as a foundation for unique innovations.

Sister Model KTM 1390 Super Duke R EVO – The Technical Basis

The current KTM 1390 Super Duke R EVO lays the groundwork for the technical underpinnings of the new project. With its LC8 engine expanded to 1,350 cc, around 190 HP, and approximately 145 Nm of torque, it sets a new benchmark for the series. Enhanced by the tuner with a new exhaust system, the 200 HP barrier is tantalizingly close.

The third-generation (Gen 3) semi-active WP APEX suspension of the Super Duke is considered a benchmark in the naked bike segment. It dynamically adjusts the compression and rebound damping in real-time and adapts to changes. If BRABUS follows this pathwhich seems likelythe BRABUS 1400 R SIGNATURE EDITION could also be equipped with this suspension.

While official confirmation is pending, past practices suggest that BRABUS will once again opt for top-notch technology, possibly with its own suspension tuning for more precision and exclusivity.

Design and Presence of the BRABUS 1400 R

BRABUS models are known for their blend of aggressive presence and meticulous understatement. The new prototype especially stands out with its front endsharper, wider, and featuring a distinctive lighting signature. Carbon dominates, giving it a sleeker line compared to the 1300 R.

The new Monoblock II EVO wheels echo the design of classic 1980s BRABUS rims, while the rear is more compact and technically drawn. The twin-exhaust system completes the look with a signature BRABUS touch.

BRABUS and KTM – A Partnership with Style

With the 1300 R, both brands have demonstrated that luxury and performance can coexist on two wheels. BRABUS contributes its design language, material expertise, and exclusivity, while KTM provides the engine, chassis, and electronics.

The BRABUS 1400 R SIGNATURE EDITION appears to continue this partnershipa motorcycle conceived as a statement both visually and technically. The timing of its market debut is likely no coincidence: early November draws maximum attention to motorcycle innovations, coinciding with the EICMA 2025 in Milan.
