Zontes Unveils First Triple-Cylinder Engine
With the new Zontes 703 RR, the manufacturer introduces its first triple-cylinder engine into the series. The newly developed power unit delivers 70 kW (95 HP) at 11,500 rpm and is expected to produce 74.4 Nm of torque at 8,500 rpm. The compression ratio is a sporty 13:1. A restricted 35 kW version is also available for the A2 license category.
The engine is housed in an aluminum die-cast frame, which Zontes claims combines low weight with high rigidity. The manufacturer states the ready-to-ride weight is 196 kilograms.
