More Performance for the 450 SMR 2025

The engine of the KTM 450 SMR 2025 remains a 450 cc SOHC engine, delivering 63 hp. The frame has been revised to reduce weight and improve flexibility, which should positively impact cornering performance. Additionally, the engine and shock absorber mounts have been made lighter without compromising stability.

Updates on the WP suspension

One of the most significant innovations is the introduction of an adjustable 48mm closed-cartridge fork of the WP XACT type. This fork uses a new piston concept that optimizes oil flow within the cartridge and minimizes the risk of oil foaming. An improved hydro stop is designed to provide additional safety in extreme situations, such as large jumps. The WP XACT rear shock absorber has also been adjusted to allow for more precise control.

Ergonomically, the model has been updated with new tank covers made of bi-composite plastics, which not only offer a new design but also better cooling through optimized air circulation. Further adjustments concern the intake pipe and snorkel design, which are now more robust to prevent deformation. Additionally, a new fuel tank roller protects the frame from abrasion.
