Honda SH125i 2013

The Honda SH125i has been a practical and reliable companion for years, so it's no wonder that it sells very well. The current version is better than ever, the engine is lively and the start-stop system also saves a little fuel - the green thumb is already up. The handling is very stable thanks to the large 16-inch tyres, but it doesn't get unwieldy in bends either - after all, at 134 kilos ready to ride, there's not too much mass to move. The compartment under the saddle can hold a full-face helmet, and the top case can also hold another helmet or bits and pieces, making it one of the best luggage compartments.

In the minds of the travelling mannequins, you quickly mutate from a dove of peace to a mobile declaration of war. Faster progress is not welcome in this country. But the SH irritates at first, then calms down with its harmonising painting and in the next moment it is gone anyway.

Elegant, less aggressive look
