Pros and Cons in comparison

Honda CUV e: 2026

Honda CUV e: 2026

The Honda CUV e: is an exciting concept with clear strengths and weaknesses. The transmission is well done, the throttle response is buttery smooth and transparent. The battery system is convincing and could serve as a blueprint for an industry-wide standard, provided other manufacturers jump on the bandwagon. The suspension is weak, it simply lacks harmoniously tuned damping. You won't often miss the ABS, but you would like to have it. Honda receives high praise for the large 7-inch TFT display, which shines with full connectivity, navigation and very intuitive operation. That's how it works! In terms of practicality, improvements are urgently needed. That should not be the case. This is the CUV e: a quiet, agile and lightweight city runabout that can also be used for cross-country journeys but is not the preferred choice. The exact target group is still difficult to narrow down. If Honda manages to establish the battery system with a freely accessible exchange station, the basic vehicle concept has a future, provided the topcase is available at no extra charge. Otherwise, the practical benefits are simply too limited and the effective range in everyday use is borderline.

Sophisticated, interchangeable battery system

superb throttle response, great 7-inch TFT display with intuitive operation and navigation

full connectivity

extremely agile and light-footed, perfect for the city

weighs only 120 kg

Both batteries must be used

manageable range, but it could be enough for commuters

unbalanced suspension

only CBS instead of ABS

no storage compartment under the seat, topcase absolutely recommended, otherwise there is no storage space

running board is tight, from shoe size 45 you have a problem

no noticeable remuneration

NIU NQiX 500 2026

NIU NQiX 500 2026

With well thought-out storage space, modern technology and stable performance, the NQiX 500 fulfils the exact requirements that urban commuters place on a bike. The coherent operating concept, the app functions and the mature riding performance are particularly impressive. Weaknesses such as the height of the footboard for taller people are forgivable in the overall picture.

Fair price 100 km/h top speed plus 120 km/h boost function

Two removable batteries with fast charging time

Large storage space - even for a full-face helmet

Excellent app integration with real everyday functions

Good workmanship and quiet driving operation

Stable riding performance thanks to low centre of gravity ABS as standard

High footboard - rather uncomfortable for tall riders
