Triumph Scrambler 1200 XE 2026

Triumph Scrambler 1200 XE 2026

The Triumph Scrambler 1200 XE combines strong character with real versatility. It looks great, sounds fantastic, convinces on the road and gravel, but demands respect in handling and behaviour. Not an all-rounder for everyone, but a special niche bike with a lot of personality and a not inconsiderable price.

superb engine

beautiful to look at

full electronics package that can be completely deactivated if required

sublime riding experience, good bike for tall people

customisable ergonomics

pleasingly low fuel consumption and emissions

sound as bassy as ever

Exhaust heat still noticeable

original equipment tyres not up to standard

high centre of gravity

limited steering angle

sluggish direction changes

limited ergonomics when standing

sensitive in the event of a rollover

Ducati Hypermotard V2 SP 2026

Ducati Hypermotard V2 SP 2026

So is it a supermoto, a naked bike or a fairing-clad track machine? On country roads, the answer is surprisingly straightforward. The V2 SP doesn’t force anyone to push hard; it can chug along leisurely through built-up areas, remains stable on the motorway and handles poor road surfaces better than expected. Once the tyres and rider are warmed up, it becomes a hyper-agile cornering machine whose limits are virtually unreachable on public roads. It feels a bit big for a tight karting circuit, and could do better on a large race track, but it’s right at home on the twisties in between. Anyone willing to swallow the hefty price tag and looking for supermoto ergonomics combined with naked bike performance might just find the ultimate country road bike here.

Extremely agile and neutral steering response

high-quality, fully adjustable Öhlins suspension

Brembo braking system with excellent modulation

a powerful yet docile V2 engine

well-spaced gear ratios

stable motorway riding with minimal vibration

an upright riding position and wide handlebars

plenty of freedom of movement on the seat

a comprehensive suite of electronic safety features

maintenance intervals suitable for everyday use

high-quality components

very high price

hard seat

fuel tank capacity of just 12.5 litres

the rear end appears delicate, making it difficult to fit luggage

relatively heavy for a classic supermoto

offers less of a genuine supermoto feel than lighter single-cylinder models
