Honda CUV e: 2026

The Honda CUV e: is an exciting concept with clear strengths and weaknesses. The transmission is well done, the throttle response is buttery smooth and transparent. The battery system is convincing and could serve as a blueprint for an industry-wide standard, provided other manufacturers jump on the bandwagon. The suspension is weak, it simply lacks harmoniously tuned damping. You won't often miss the ABS, but you would like to have it. Honda receives high praise for the large 7-inch TFT display, which shines with full connectivity, navigation and very intuitive operation. That's how it works! In terms of practicality, improvements are urgently needed. That should not be the case. This is the CUV e: a quiet, agile and lightweight city runabout that can also be used for cross-country journeys but is not the preferred choice. The exact target group is still difficult to narrow down. If Honda manages to establish the battery system with a freely accessible exchange station, the basic vehicle concept has a future, provided the topcase is available at no extra charge. Otherwise, the practical benefits are simply too limited and the effective range in everyday use is borderline.
