Pros and Cons in comparison

BMW F 900 GS Adventure 2025

The small Adventure looks really big even next to an R 1300 GS. The bike offers a high level of riding comfort combined with accessible handling. However, due to the huge tank and the ponderous front end, it loses a significant advantage of the F 900 GS - it is not a lighter-footed alternative to a large Adventure.

Practical features

pleasantly controllable engine

great electronics package

great riding comfort

pleasant ergonomics

easy handling

Off-road and when manoeuvring, the bike feels tiring and heavy

the bike looks cumbersome and clumsy

Voge DS900X 2025

The Voge DS900X has some strong fundamentals – a very comprehensive range of features at an attractive price – but it doesn’t quite feel fully set up when riding. The engine, handling and electronics need some fine-tuning before it can be considered a well-rounded adventure touring package.

Powerful engine at higher revs

comfortable riding position

high-quality feel

good braking system

comprehensive touring equipment

The engine tuning is uneven in the lower third of the rev range

the steering response is sluggish due to the steering damper being set too stiff
