The XSR900 combines the performance of a sporty streetfighter with the look of a pleasing, cleanly finished retro naked bike. In the advertisements, the new BMW F 800 R sometimes comes across as a woman's motorbike. This does not do the bike an injustice, but the civilised engine, the low seat height and the smooth controls certainly suit petite ladies.
