The Dorsoduro 750 proves to be a well-balanced all-rounder that masters the balancing act between suitability for everyday use and riding pleasure. The then innovative electronic throttle control has proven to be reliable and, in combination with the characterful V2 engine, enables a wide range of uses. The combination of good-natured handling for beginners and sufficient potential for experienced riders is particularly convincing. The few technical weaknesses are well documented and predictable.

But as in life, you can't demonise the "approximate 3/4 litre" concept of the FZ-8 by quickly leafing through the data sheets. That would be a shame, because the 8 has given us a lot of pleasure in the 3,200 kilometres we have covered so far. Contrary to the facts, the 800 is probably the best choice for the average ambitious rider.
